This book is amazing if you want to learn about the depths of being a prayer warrior. No matter how old it is, the ideas in it will never be out of style. We are using it in one of my study groups, and everyone loves it!

Beautiful Book
A wonderful book on prayer with inspiring stories of answered prayer. I read a review that talked about it being impossible to live like the saints from the past. My question is does the same God that empowered and saved them also save us? We can live and pray like those from our history. Besides the author did say it was not necessary to pray the same amount of time or for the same things only that prayer is Communion with God on an intimate level with His children. If you are a child of God prayer must be part of your life.

Formatted so as to be almost unreadable
The Kindle edition is poorly formatted, with lines ending in strange places, and strange white space here and there. There are better editions of this book available, at the same price, or close to it. Don't buy this one.

Excellent - but not really a book for the new Christian because of it's high call to an overwhelming prayer life. It doesn't clarify what it means until chapter eight or nine. I've been a devoted Christian for over fifty years - and it overwhelmed me. Highly recommended for the more mature.

Every Christian should read this book!
What an amazing book!! It's based on John 15 in the Bible regarding the parable of the vine and the branches. It's about Jesus' promise that if you love God and seek His will, and follow Jesus example and commands, then what you ask in Jesus' name will be granted because it will glorify God."If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples." John 15:7-8 NIVThe entire book highlights the limitless power at the hands of Jesus' diciples, in so far as, it is in God's will. ANYTHING God wants accomplished WILL be accomplished in Jesus' name for the Glory of God.A few quotes from the book:"Why, the wonder is not that we pray so little, but that we can ever get up from our knees if we realize our own need; the needs of our home and our loved ones; the needs of our pastor and the church; the needs of our city--of our country--of the heathen...""The Lord Jesus, now in the heavenlies, beckons to us to fall upon our knees and claim the riches of His grace.""Isn't it just splendid to know that by our prayers we can bring down showers of blessing upon India, or Africa, or China, just as readily as we can get the few drops needed for our own little plot?""Prayer is an offering up of our desires unto God for things agreeable to His will, in the name of Christ, with confession of our sins and thankful acknowledgement of His mercies."This is such a wonderful book!! Definitely worth reading!!! If you don't beleive you can change the world through prayer after reading this book....then you didn't pay attention.

You gotta' read this book
If you are searching for a unbelieveable book on prayer, this is it. After you have finished this book you will know exactly where the burden of unanswered prayer lies. Want your prayers ansered? Get this book. The author of these precious pages chooses to remain anonymous so all the glory from these pages goes to God. I have read most of the books on prayer but this one book is the one I return to each year. I am a student of theology so I read theological books in massive amounts. I have compiled a list of the 10 best books that I have ever read dealing with any subject of the Bible. This book is on that list.

Great book but sloppy Kindle formatting.
I have the printed book and liked it so much that I wanted a Kindle copy. I was disappointed that the Kindle version wasn't formatted properly. I give the author and book a 5 star and a 1 star rating for the Kindle formatting.

A great faith builder.
This book is an easy, enjoyable read. It will call you back to simple faith and a desire to enhance your prayer life as you review scriptures that you already know well, but need to be refreshed on. I have given this book to ministers, and they have been so uplifted and encouraged by what they read. A real faith booster. No "name it, claim it." Just a classic on real faith and sincere prayer. As a collector of old writings, I can say this is among my favorites.

Great Prayer Book
Really good book. It was such a compelling read that it made me want to stop reading and start praying but at the same time I wanted to continue reading!!! Will help to focus you on the awesomeness of spending time in Gods presence and really helped to increase the quality and quantity of my prayer time!

Best book I have read on prayer.
The writer provokes and encourages and nowhere condemns. He gently deals with hindrances to prayer.
