I purchased three of these. They were cheap (still are) and i figured i needed two, buy a spare in-case one died on me.Well now i only need 1, and i have given the other two away because i do not fear that this one will die. I have also gifted and recommended this item to quite a few people, not one single complaint from anyone.I have had mine since 2009 and it is a great plug and play phone that has worked with many pieces of software, and automatically also, rarely have i had to tell an application specifically what device it should be talking too.It gets pulled off my desk and dropped on the tiled floor of my office at least twice a month (cats) and has lived to tell the story. No cracks or breaks and functions fine.I have never had any problems with call clarity on my end or the other persons end, in-fact many people say it is crystal clear, and i can not say the same of everyone's microphones or headsets.You will not be disappointed, and if you have even one shred of doubt in your mind, buy 2.

I thought that even though inexpensive it was likely all right for the occasional use, after all it was "Skype" approved. Wrong. I can't hear. I can't be heard. And the cord is short that it would be inconvenient even it it did work all right. But it doesn't work all right. Unless you are young with excellent hearing ... I'd pass on this one.

The sound quality is fine, but the functionality is inconsistent. It works so intermittently that it's not worth the trouble. It may work better for you, but I didn't like it.
