GREAT substitute for installing multi brand monitors with different mountings.
Purchased a Scepter 24" monitor but the mounting bracket on the back is much different than others. Most monitors the optional mount for multi monitor installs is near center the Scepter isn't or wasn't for this model. This slider bracket is GREAT substitute for installing multi brand monitors with different mountings. It is a very solid metal and easy to install (8 screws and 5-8 minutes of time). It allows up / down adjustment if your monitor stand doesn't.

Really sweet.
Suggestion: Some words/directions in the “manual” would really help take the guesswork out of what “click” is doing. Otherwise, it works fine.

Good, but not perfect
I bought this to make my two monitors no my monitor arm the same height, since they are different models and mount at different places on the back. It works well enough and isn't expensive, so both of those are going for it.A couple nits preventing it from being perfect:The height adjustment is not continuous -- it has like 12 or so different stages at which it clicks into place. This means, when trying to match another monitor's height, you can't just pick any height, screw something in and hold it in place. You have to be okay with resolution of about 1-1.5 cm. Not the end of the world, but I would have just preferred screws holding it in place with friction. While the two mounting brackets are metal, the vertical height adjustment piece, that holds the two metal mounting brackets together, is plastic. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, so that's a bummer. It is thick plastic though and is highly unlikely to break under normal use.It doesn't come with screws for both the monitor and the monitor arm. It only comes with one set (two different sizes, but if your monitor requires the smaller screws, you have to use your existing screws somewhere). This is a disappointment, too, since my monitor's VESA mount screws are already stripped and I would have liked to replace them.

Worked as designed
I used this to lower my 32" flat screen so I didn't have to move my mount on the wall. Stability could have been tighter at the top. When its in the lowest position, to me it feels less sturdy. But I've had it for over a month and no issues.

Worked Like It Should
This product did exactly what it was intended to. My husband used it to level out two different monitors with two different sized bezels when mounted side by side. It did the job perfectly and took only 10 minutes or so to install (after making one mistake). I would definitely recommend this product to someone and would purchase again.

***VESA Monitor Riser*** Good/Fast/Cheap you only get the last two on this one
This Amazon listing is actually for a few different items, so make sure you are looking at the double ratcheting plate VESA mount riser if trying to get something out of this review.Pros:- Cheaper than a decent quality new monitor arm (though maybe not by much)Cons:- Installation will be a head scratcher. One side of this thing is the smaller VESA size, so you may not be able to mount it if you don't have one side with both sets of holes.- Added torque at full height (or near it) will likely cause occasional unwanted tilting down, which could damage something depending on your setup and spring tension settings.- The ratcheting mechanism provides no way to know when you are at the highest or lowest settings besides guessing and having to redo from scratch. Price is right rules apply here. Try for the height you want, and then if your monitor wants to fall you went too far. This also means that depending on your general area and its contents, setup of this thing can be downright dangerous with plenty of ways to pinch fingers hard (I only bled a little, but you may be less dumb than I).- Setup will also involve thinking through some physics and playing with the thing for a bit to make sure that you don't install it the wrong way, as the instructions only cover installations where you have both larger and smaller VESA holes on both monitor and arm.- Will add some wobble to your monitor that may be fine if you have a stationary desk bolted to the wall like I do, but if you have a sit/stand desk you should not buy this lifter unless your monitor is much lighter than your arm can accommodate. It will be tougher to get your monitor leveled and you will have to spend more time tweaking it whenever you move it around because of the added play.So who is this thing for that it might not be a bad deal?If you have a VESA mount arm that is not tall enough to make the ergonomics of your desk work for you, but don't want to buy a new taller arm rather than continue to use your own. In my case, mounting an Apple Thunderbolt Display on top of an Ergotron MX that is several inches too short. This plate is built to let you lower your monitor or raise it... not sure why as the lowering capability causes it to get in the way of cables below the vesa mounting holes. I'm sure someone out there has a wall mounted monitor they wish they could get lower without reinstalling the mount... At any rate, you only get a few inches of added rise, but you probably wouldn't want more as it adds torque to the hinge that allows you to angle your screen up or down.

Works great
Bought it to level my center monitor in a 3-monitor setup that had slight height differences.Working exactly as intended. Was slightly confusing to install, but got through the whole process in like half an hour, so no problem at all.
