Perry Mason Double Feature: The Case of the Heartbroken Bride / The Case of the Skin Deep Scandal

This is the one and only one movie where Raymond Burr swings into physical action. At the end of Heartbroken Bride, as one of the bad guys rushes the witness stand, Burr does a side step take down on the guy and yes, I'm certain just about everyone is going to say this was done by a stuntman although it would be nice if it came out that Burr really did the stunt. Anyway, it was really worth getting this DVD.

The Case of the Heartbroken Bride was especially great, made so by flawless performance by William E. Cramer in the role of Reverand Roper.

it was a great series.

All formula but so what? It's Perry Mason after-all. And they are sooo entertaining....aaah! Perry wins again.

This is the 12th double feature DVD of the Perry Mason movie collection. Here we have the 23rd movie- The Case of the heartbroken bride and the 24th movie -The Case of the Skin deep scandal released in October 1992 and February 1993 respectively.In the Case of the Heartbroken Bride- Perry and Della were invited to the wedding of a friend’s daughter. The bride is a famous pop-star an the wedding is taking place in her parents palatial home so invited guests only. However despite these measures the grooms uncle gate crashes the wedding and is later found murdered. Perry , Della and Ken step in to unravel the murder and defend the pop-star bride accused of the murder.In the Case of the Skin deep Scandal - A cosmetic mogul is found murdered in her bedroom and her secret cosmetic formula is stollen. Her husband is accused and arrested for her mother. Perry steps in to defend his long time friend but the deck is stacked against him and the investigation to find the truth was not progressing well. we have 20 of the 30 Perry Mason Returns movies. all good!! Perry Mason and Dhella are good actors. they make a good team. we have the nine seasons of the original Perry Mason and we like Perry Mason Returns just the same.
