Excellent Laces
I really like these laces. I laced them up backwards so that the metal piece is at the toe end of the laces.

Triathlons
I moved to bungee-type laces a few years ago when I started triathlons. Not having to tie up a pair of sneakers makes for a quicker transition from bike to run. I also find the elastic laces stay the same "tightness" desired without needing to readjust - even over many, many, many miles ran. This is my first pair of AOJOYS with the screw-together-type connection. Before these I used a few other brands that had a button-lock you can adjust easily if needed. However, I never did need to adjust my sneakers once laced up to specification so really it just left excess lace plus the LARGE button I didn't want or need. Then I found these AOJOYS with a much smaller clasp connection (it feels like a sturdy plastic or light-weight metal piece?). I put a pair of their lime green laces on my Nike Zoom Pegasus. Today I ran 8.5 miles and did some fast splits at the track to see if they would stay put at race pace. These AOJOYS held up PERFECTLY! For installation, I did find they took longer to install than the button-lock laces just because you have to cut the bungee with ZERO excess lace in order to knot it and fit in the small clasp. This means you better get the measurement right the first time! I took my time lacing these up while wearing my typical running socks to get an exact fit. Oh boy O'Berto do they look snazzy! As long as they hold up as well as the other version, I'm never going back! Only many more miles will tell, but so far, they are seem to be doing the trick but look oh so much more slick! ;-) Thanks!

My only exercise has been eliminated.
Love these! But bending over to tie my shoes was my most vigorous activity, and now it’s been eliminated! I’ll need to find another work out plan!Easy to install and trim. (Of course, I checked to make sure the shoes would go on/off before trimming excess.) after I trimmed and knotted the ends, I dabbed the ends with a drop of clear nail polish, then just screwed the barrel together. So easy!I went with the yellow laces, because my shoes had some yellow accents. I’m into the matchy-matchy. Husband’s eyes lit up when he saw the “no ties” really worked, so will be ordering more.

Perfect replacement for shoelaces!
My son is in kindergarten and can’t yet tie his shoes, however he insists on wearing big boy shoes that tie...I had to find a solution so that they weren’t constantly coming untied at school and interrupting the teacher’s day to help him. I’ve tried several different options, and these are the best I’ve tried! The other plastic snaps that I’ve tried that hold the knot on the bow kept coming undone and breaking. I tried the curly cue shoelaces, and he said they look too “girly.” These are the solution! He can even unscrew it if he wants to and screw it back. It’s not necessary to do that, but his little fingers can handle it. I definitely plan on getting more!

Where have these been all my life?
I only gave it four stars because of the price when you can get 3 packs for 1/3 the price. However, this was the first time for me every trying this type of shoelace. You need to follow the directions to a tee. Because if you cut short you will just throw them out. I actually cut them a little long and tweaked them from there. I will never ever again have to tie the laces on my shoes. At 60 years old that's a bonus, just wait until it's your turn trust me on that. They hold the shoe perfectly on your foot no slipping or sliding. I have since bought several colors in 3 packs because these are as function and labor saving as it gets.

Some assembly required. Not pre-measured
First of all, they were delivered promptly and in minimal packaging; not a large, unnecessary package. Secondly, I wear a size US 13, and have a fairly high arch giving my shoe a stretch. The laces are very high quality and the metal ends are sturdy and properly threaded for a tight fit. The laces are a bit stretchy so you can pull them tight then loosen after you have threaded them. Overall a great purchase, and will be buying more fory wife and kids. Compared to Hikkies, I'll never buy Hikkies again.

Great for elementary school child
My little one refused to wear shoes that had to be tied. He complained that teachers and daycare workers seemed irritated when he needed his shoes re-tied. I grew tired of them making knots in his shoes. I ordered these in multiple different colors to match his different shoes. After installing, I unscrewed one pair and told him to put his shoes on AND wait for me. He didn't wait. I looked over and his tiny fingers had screwed them back together. He did it on his own with no instructions from me. He is super happy and empowered to do his own shoes.

Falls short
I so wanted to give these a great review...but I’m stomped. Maybe someone can tell me how to fix this. The instructions say to put the little metal things on the shoelace, tie a know in the end, cur off the excess lace then burn the end to keep it on. However, when I put the lace in the little metal thing...there’s not enough room to screw on the other end. I tried before to be sure before cutting everything but it just won’t fit together. I don’t think it’s made to go in those metal devices. Anyone??

No elasticity
Even though it was true that these laces required “no tie”, but there was no elasticity in them.
