The total current draw was less than 2 amps (starts out about 1.7 and rises over time to about 1.9). This power supply, rated at 2.5 amps, should have had no problem with that as a load. But after less than an hour, the LED's started blinking on and off, and I checked the power supply - very hot. By the time I managed to unplug it, it had completely died. I replaced it with another unit rated at 3 amps in a larger package, which works well. The 2.5 amp specification is either a false claim or I had a defective unit. No way for me to tell which.
