After plugging this dock into my secondary television I took my switch off the factory dock in the other room I had been playing in and placed it onto this ponkor dock. The screen turned on for about 3 seconds showing that it was charging, then turned off and will not turn back on no matter what I do. My television never even recognized that it was connected to anything. The Ponkor dock isn’t a dock, it is a switch destruction device. What will desertcart and Ponkor do to make this right? Probably nothing! I urge you to run from this product and if this has already happened to you then I urge you to report incorrect product information on it and get it taken off Amazon! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ GREAT ! but expensive add ons. *by B***N on February 9, 2021* - DOES charge switch (very slowly) - needs power source - device + buying cables separately = $50 - works marvelously - small/ compact First off, this DOES charge your switch; just very slowly, which is probably to make sure it doesn’t fry it, and BlackScreen your switch permanently. With that being said, having the console in use, drains more battery than it restores, which in my opinion, is fine (given the alternative) This really works marvelously. HDMI alone will not work. To anyone who says it’s defective, it does need a power source (USBC) It’s a great little thing that works great for smaller TVs, and as a second dock. one thing that is a minor annoyance, is that the cables connect from the side, so depending on your set up, that may be something to consider. One thing to keep in mind is... considering the fact that it comes without cables, (as mentioned in the description) it ends up costing about $50 get it up and running. Unless you have extra HDMI and USBC cables already.
