Love it!
Used this for a trip and it worked great. Easy to install on the car, is sturdy and looks great too. I definitely recommend.

Does what it needs to do.
It made it from Texas to Connecticut, with a couple of out-of-the-way side trips. It fit two suitcases and a lot of shopping bags full of stuff. It rained a couple of the days (light rain) and it kept our stuff nice and dry.It installed really easy and was very sturdy once installed. There was room behind the bag for other, less important things that could get wet. The net and hooks kept everything secure. All in all, for the price I think it's a good deal!

Great With Some Mods
First off, I paid about $150 for this rack (Amazon Warehouse), and I wouldn't pay more. I have it mounted on a 2015 Subaru Forester and it fits great but does bend the antenna back a little. Doesn't bother me, but it might bother you. I live in Colorado where it's pretty dry, but unless you live in the middle of the Mojave Desert this rack WILL rust...unless you do the following:The first thing I did was get rid of most of the hardware that came with this rack. It's mostly junk. I instead put it together with M6 x 1.00 Hex Key Socket Head Cap Screws (that's how they're listed on Amazon by Inline Designs...but they're actually bolts) matched with 1/4" lock washers and M6 x 1mm Nylon Insert Hex Lock Nuts from uxcell....ALL 316 STAINLESS STEEL. There are other stainless options, but I like the look of the hex key "socket heads".When I assembled the rack, I used shrink tubing to somewhat reinforce the spaces left between the interior bars, which works for my purposes (cargo bag), but at some point I'll replace those with either pvc or metal sleeves. After the rack was completely assembled, I caulked every single seam and bolt with Red Devil 078060 StormGuard 920 100% RTV Silicone Sealant (Black). I let that cure overnight, then began spraying several coats of Rust-Oleum 300607 Stops Rust Hammered spray paint in Matte Black. As you can see, it's more of a gray than black, but I knew that in advance and wanted it to match the color of the car. I also love the "hammered" look, and this particular product doesn't need primer. Choose whatever color suits you.The only original hardware I did use was when mounting the rack to the car, I used the original u-bolts, except instead of using the included knobs I opted for the aforementioned lock washers and nylon lock nuts. It mounted great to my aftermarket rails and Apex RB-1004-49 Universal Side Rail Mounted Crossbars. The last step was security, and I just used a couple Sanwo Security Bike Lock 4 Digit Resettable Combination Cable Lock for Bicycle, 2 Feet x 1/2 Inch, one on each side.I installed the rack in Spring of last year (2021) and we had a very busy travel year. We made road trips both with and without the CURT 18221 Extended Roof Rack Cargo Bag, which fits perfectly in the rack and holds a ton of gear giving my dogs space to move around in the back of the car. I easily exceeded the 150 lb limit, but of course I can't suggest you do that. There is some increased wind noise, but not too bad. You will also sacrifice some mpg, especially over 65 mph, even with just a bare rack. If you're not going to be using it on a long road trip, I suggest you leave it at home.I posted some pics of it after assembly, and the rack on the car, and some destinations. It obviously holds up well and we had absolutely zero problems with it as we traveled to and through the following states: Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Missouri, and Kansas. We traveled through all kinds of weather, carried a ton of gear, took the cargo bag on and off several times....and not a spot of rust.

Fits the Subaru Outback 30" crossbar spacing
I haven't used the rack yet, so this is only an assembly and fit review.Overall, this is a great rack and good value for money. It assembles about as easily as I would expect. A couple screw threads were not well aligned, so it took some finagling to align the pieces. It fits the Subaru Outback 2018 fixed spacing front-to-back crossbars at 30". If you're rails can't be spaced at one of the distances below, then it won't work for your vehicle. The front-to-back crossbar mount, center-to-center spacing options for the full, extended rack assembly are:29.75", 33.25", 36.75", 40.5", 44" (tolerance of about +/- 0.5". For example, 29.25" to 30.25")The attachment to and removal from the vehicle is great. I was able to take it on and off in less than 5 minutes on my own. I'm a male, 5'6" and not that strongThe threads for the attachment to the vehicle are a tad long even though the thumb screws help protect them from full exposure. I may cut them to be a bit shorter or put a rubber cap over the top of the threads when in use. Otherwise, it's like to rip the fabric of luggage.I expect there will be rust points on the rack since most racks of this style will have them. I intend to only keep it on when I need it and be sure it dries if it gets wet. I may spray it down with an additional rust prevention coating in the areas where rust typically occurs (welds, openings, assembly areas, screws, and nicked areas from use).Get out there and have a great adventure!

Heavy and Rusty!
I purchased this basket for my 2014 Subaru Forester. The full basket configuration was too long and obscured my sunroof so I opted for the half basket setting.Assembly was somewhat straight forward- the basket was easy enough to put together.Installing the basket was another thing, though it's only half a basket- it was more difficult to install than other full size baskets. It's heavy for what it is.The basket has held up to California's more recent rainy season....however has already begun leaking. I will be getting rid of mine soon enough, I would not recommend this model unless you figure out how to weather proof it better. The actual build quality of the item is a bit on the lower end. There are some areas where the welds have holes. The powder coating has held up, but the leaking rust is apparent on my black car.

Great value
Used it to go camping twice and for other various in City needs. Easy to put together and has held on great. There are a few rust spots that popped up at the joints but it’s gone through a lot of heavy rain this summer. Would recommend

This is why you should pay more
I installed this product in Canada two weeks ago. I just got to Florida and every single soldering is rusted.

Quality product that is well priced and easy to install.
I love this product and would definitely buy again if needed. It would be great to have some sort of key lock to protect against st theft but other than that, it is fantastic.
