OpenWheeler seat frame extension kit

Common sense normally reminds us not to fully recline a chair and move it all the way backwards at the same time. When your common sense fails you, this accessory steps in! Basically, this is just an extra anti-tip measure. If you have front-mounted hardware, your center of gravity will likely already be fine, but this just gives you a little extra safety. We have not come close to tipping the chair, even without these installed, unless we were just being stupid on purpose to test it. And once our rudder and yoke got attached, I’m not sure we can still tip it even on purpose. In any case, I’m glad I bought these separately and would gladly bear their cost as part of the package if they were rolled into it.

This is a great little add-on to make the chair feel more planted when not using it with a sim racing or flight setup. You can recline back fully and not have to worry! This makes the chair setups great to sit in for general gaming. Combine it with the seat risers and a little ottoman; and you have a great low-sitting gaming chair!

Definitely added way more stability to the chair

While the OpenWheeler cockpit is great on its own, it isn't sturdy enough without this extension kit.I don't fault OpenWheeler for this at all. Their craftsmanship has been awesome. This item acts as a replacement for the included wheels.

I have purchased many accessories for my OpenWheeler and continue to hold it up as one of my best decisions in building out my VR room.

These are simple to install, solid metal, and stabilize the chair. If you don't have anything attached to the chair its very easy to fall backwards. If you mount a HOTAS you'll need these; otherwise you'll find yourself flat on your back.
