Great Storage and Clean-Up Solution For Children With Executive Functioning Needs
I bought this organizer for my daughter, who has executive functioning needs. We use it as a storage and clean-up solution for crafting beaded bracelets. Her beads were often spread out on the carpet and she was constantly losing them…until I bought her this. Now her beads are neatly contained on this mat. No more lost beads. And when it’s time to clean up, all she has to do is pull on the strings to close the bag. I highly recommend this for parents with children who have executive functioning needs.

Great travel bag for Lego lovers
I bought this mat for an international flight I was taking with my 6 year-old and filled it with several Lego Mixel sets (the ones where if you buy three in the same colour, you can combine them to make a "max"). There was more than enough space in the cinched bag that I could have added several other similarly-sized sets. I pre-opened the Lego packages and sorted the sets into plastic zip-top bags to make them easy to open during the flight. This allowed my son three individual sets to build and then provided him with a variety of pieces he could use to build his own creations later. We found the bag to be slightly larger than the tray table on the airplane, plus my son was too far back from the table in his seat to reach it comfortably anyway. We just opened the Lay-n-Go bag up slightly in his lap and he happily built away with no issues.I have read a number of reviews where people feel the bag is too small to hold much of anything. I guess that really depends upon what you are hoping to carry, but if anything, I feel that it is deceptively larger than it looks. Capacity-wise, I would say that you could carry the equivalent of a very large grapefruit in it. It would easily fit the pieces of four to six of the smaller Lego sets which, if you plan accordingly, will provide your child with enough wheels, bricks, mini-figures, and other items to create for quite awhile. Any smaller toys like Hot Wheels cars, Polly Pockets, or even puzzles (we have purchased a couple of 50-piece puzzles in small tins at the dollar store) would work well. Also, as a point of reference, we have used this bag to contain the Plus-Plus 600-Piece Basic Assortment, which fit perfectly and gave two children access to the pieces when it was open on the floor. This bag is light, but sturdy. There is a velcro pocket on the inside to hold smaller items if desired. Open, there is a considerable play area which, if you leave the string every-so-slightly cinched, will provide a slight "lip" to keep smaller items contained within its borders. As I mentioned, the mat worked adequately well on the plane, but where it has really proved particularly useful for us has been in areas where we can make the most use of the bag as an actual playmat, such as on the bed of a hotel or cruise ship, the floor at Grandma's or a doctor's office, or on a table at a restaurant. The design makes it is easy to quickly cinch back up when the activity time is done. Highly recommend!

It's a Sack -- of Awesome
This is so incredibly unbelievably useful, I got this after my son's Lego habit started getting out of control. The concept isn't new, I have a similar, much smaller denim one that Lego made 30+ years ago. But these days the pieces are smaller and there are waaaaay more of them so I needed an equally durable but much bigger mat/bag. This one fit the bill.Ours now holds 10 large sets and an untold number of smaller ones (we're a mix-the-Legos-together family). It doesn't have to be Legos, it can be anything that you just want to push onto the mat and pull the string to clean up when play time is over. It's a pretty big mat (the 5 feet is accurate, the picture makes it seem smaller) so it will hold quite a load of toys. The price is on the high side (and I see it's much higher than we bought ours) but on the pro side, it is very very well made. Ours has survived almost three years' daily service without a problem.

Perfect solution to Lego mess
As a mother of three toddlers, I needed something that would help contain the lego mess. Our legos frequently fly across the floor and under the sofa... Or those two you missed during cleanup would end up under my foot in the middle of the night. When I saw this, I was set off by the price. I was tempted to buy a kiddie pool from the dollar store and throw the leggos in there for playtime instead. After our lego boxes started collecting dust (my fault entirely. I was really dreading picking up all the little pieces) I decided this purchase was necessary to save our investment in legos. When you open the box, you get a circular piece of cloth. It's kind of like the material of a jacket. It slides on the hardwood floor-- I just made my kids sit down (repeatedly) -- and reminded them not to run through it like they were splashing through a lego foot bath... But, they loved it. My oldest toddler (2) didn't build so much with this arrangement. He usually builds towers when we're sitting at the table with the legos. He instead participated in moving all the legos all over the place. That being said, he also enjoyed telling me about all the different shapes and colors he was "finding". I'm sure building will resume after the excitement wears off.The bag has a few pockets for "special" pieces. I put the men and woman lego people on one side in separate mesh pockets.. and flowers and gates on the other side in separate mesh pockets. Honestly, this is probably more for me than my kids... at our current age anyway.I saw a few people complaining that the clip on the end breaks. It's the same sort of clip that's on any draw string bag. I'm sure you could replace it if you want to. I would just tie it in a loose knot. It's the pulling of the string itself that makes the bag draw up.Overall, I like this. Cleanup was super fast. It creates a space large enough for all three of my kids to sit in (not that I wanted them to sit inside of it.. it just worked out that way). If we brought this out during a playdate, I'm sure one more kid could squeeze in. Definitely more all around if we used it as a floor "table" instead of a floor mat. I think the material is durable and I'm expecting it to last for awhile.I saw that there were a few mini versions of this. I almost got those instead and I'm glad I didn't. This is perfect for group play.
