This ring features a bezel mounted 10 x 8mm lab created Star Sapphire N-S mounted on a 3.25mm wide Argentium Silver Plain band. Polished to a bright finish. Polishing cloth and ring sizer included.

Review: Blue Star Sapphire Ring from Salish Sea Inspirations - I purchased my silver ring with a blue star sapphire. It's a very simple ring in design which I like. The stone is lovely with a beautiful 6 point star in it's center which becomes more evident in direct lighting. I'm very pleased with my purchase and the quality of my ring. I actually bought a second ring in the larger stone size in the same design. I think if your hands are larger (size 8.5-9 ring size) like mine the 8x10mm stone may be a better fit. I now own two and will probably wear one on each hand. I also purchased silver blue star sapphire earrings and am very pleased with them also. Now my old blue sapphire necklace has the perfect compliments to complete my set.

Simple in design making it the perfect frame for the stone as all your attention is focused upon it. The lab created star sapphire is simply lovely. Just the right size. Med dk tone , a gray toned blue. The star effect is gorgeous however, it's brightness depends upon the light source available...the brighter the light the brighter the star. My 'star' is perfectly centered within the stone. It's a wedding anniversary gift from Himself, our date is in Sept. so Sept's sapphire birthstone has special meaning. Also, very comfortable on the finger excellent fit. The ring has no visible flaws, perfectly crafted. I couldn't be more pleased.

- Lab Created Blue Star Sapphire RingFascinating Brilliance! This stone is reminiscent of the vintage “Lindy” synthetic Star Sapphire of the 50s thru 70s. The star effect, known as an “asterism”, is more defined in a lab-grown Sapphire. They are identical in chemical composition, brilliance, and physical appearance as their natural counterpart, however they have fewer flaws, are not mined from the ground, and are much less expensive. They are an extremely durable stone with a Mohs scale hardness or 9 (a Diamond is 10)
- Please note that the star effect or "asterism" of a Star Sapphire, is not a fixed element. It is the result of direct light, artificial or natural. The brighter the light source, the brighter the star display. In low light or shaded settings the star will be less visible. All photos are taken with direct light
- Argentium Silver contains a higher fine silver content with a touch of Germanium for greater tarnish resistance

I purchased my silver ring with a blue star sapphire. It's a very simple ring in design which I like.
