Bought these to avoid using pins while sewing face masks. Much cheaper than the branded ones at the fabric store, which I've never used so can't compare. However, these do exactly what I need them to do in holding the layers together and pop off if I get too close to the presser foot (pins would just get run over and pose a threat to the needle) so am quite satisfied. Very handy little clips, no problems with any of them opening or closing (some seem slightly stiffer than others but nothing that makes them hard to use). It's a good number of clips and that was very convenient when I decided to use them as movable markers in a yarn project using fluffy faux fur loop yarn that kept slipping around on me--these clips made it easy to "mark" the loops so I could be certain I wasn't skipping loops and had them all oriented the way I wanted them to lay, and then move to the next set of loops as I progressed along the rows. I did count out the clips after they arrived and the numbers were exact and none broken or deformed. Nice buy!

Far more convenient than pins

You won’t regret it. You can never have too many of these. The quality is just as good as my Clover brand clips, and the price is ridiculously better.

These clips are fantastic for use in making masks. You don't want to poke holes in the mask material and these make it so you don't have that problem. This has also made it easier for me to make straight flat pleats. The only problem I have with them is that they are a little stiff for old arthritic hands . For younger hands these would be no problem. The only other problem was that I only received 27 of the large clips instead of 30. It just didn't seem worth the hassle of dickering over 3 clips. Honestly I'd have give this a 5 star review had I received all 30 of the large clips.

I've been a sewer for years. Now, with the pandemic, I've been making face masks for friends. Pins are okay; I've been using them since I learned to sew at 10 years old. However, as with all sharp objects you need to be careful. When I saw these pins being used on a YouTube video I had to have some. They are perfect. They hold material together. There are no pin holes in the fabric and no more stuck fingers. What an innovation!

I was concerned that these clips might not be strong enough to hold pleats in multiple layers of fabric. They work very well with the cotton fabric I’m using. It’s possible they might be too small for some fabrics. My only issue is that they have a tendency to get stuck on the edge of the sewing machine and pull your fabric out of place. Is easily fixed by holding the fabric up as it goes over the edge Of the machine. However that is an extra step you have to remember that might annoy some people. I really like them and I look forward to using them for a long time.

A must have if quilting.

Easier to use when sewing on the machine than straight pins.

I was a bit disappointed that they were as large as they are. I didn’t notice a size indicated when I ordered them and I was used to a smaller version. I will be more cautious next time and if no size is indicated, won’t order them.
