Profound, beautiful, hits right at the soul
I picked up this book based on the title. I had no idea that Lara Casey was a Christian writer and was pleasantly surprised when I started reading. I can sniff out fluffy, generic writing and was half expecting the book to be all flowery sentences with a lot of typical self help advice, but no way!! This book is different. It's so powerful. Lara's writing resonated with me so much, that I actually bought a brand new journal just to start taking notes from the book. I'm sure I'll be reading this again and again and I added it to my list of books to share with my daughter when she grows up. Thank you LC for writing this book. Thank you for celebrating your gifts in a way that touches other people. Highly recommend this book to any woman who is looking to create purpose over perfection.

Wow. Misleading title
First, let me mention I have over 400 books in my kindle and I read a lot...and I honestly can't remember leaving a 2 review for any books I've read. I usually like them or love them (giving them 4-5 stars) mostly.I thought this book would be about her journey to becoming an entrepreneur and having a successful business. But it's all about GOD and PRAYING. I'm not against God but this is not what I was expecting.I'm also put off by some things she begins to mention in the last hour of the book like "is going on facebook making you want to serve God? " and how she hates social media and wanted to not be on it but she decided it was a great way to spread God's message. ..... and that there's no such thing as multitasking it's just you switching between 2 tasks. Well I have to disagree with that because I listened to her book the entire time I worked on the computer (I'm a graphic designer) so I can DRAW and LISTEN at the same time- isn't that 2 tasks??THEN she goes off to tell you to DELETE ALL YOUR PHONE APPS over the weekends and then download them back on monday. WHAT!? This is literally where I began to hate this book lol. How much time is that gonna take?? what about all the stuff saved in the apps?? then you have to log in half of them and remember those damn passwords oh my LORD. She calls this a SOCIAL MEDIA VACATION. You know you could just SIGN OUT of the accounts right? you don't need to DELETE them. or just turn off all the notifications. I'm confused how this even relates to the book .....She also talks about not following your HEART but following GOD. In other words don't do what you truly love or want, do what God wants you to do. Well I can't agree with that but a part of me also believes that what God wants you to do can also be what your heart desires, that they are related to one another. But not everyone believes or follows God so I think that should have been written somewhere on the cover or description that this book is all about GOD and not finding your purpose but rather following God's purpose for you.I relate to her being a mom and trying to do it all but I just don't see deleting social media accounts as the way to FIND YOUR PURPOSE.I stand corrected there is 1 tiny mention of GOD in the description if you click READ MORE. It should really be on the cover. If you read/follow Wayne Dyer he always used to say that we are all God. He compares God to an ocean and we are a glass full of ocean water (God) So if we are a portion of God then we SHOULD follow OUR heart's desire because our heart is God's heart. So this is all a matter of beliefs of course---I regret not seeing this book is categorized under Christian Living and i blame Amazon for not displaying that right next to the book title/cover rather somewhere deep down in the long list of details.Unfortunately I can't get a refund because it's been more than 7 days since I purchased it.

This is an amazing book for anyone who wants to actually do something ...
This is an amazing book for anyone who wants to actually do something about the goals, ideas, dreams, and visions they have floating around in their minds. It is an incredible testimony of what can happen when you say yes to God and allow Him to shape your days instead of trying to hold everything tightly and control it all. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to do something about their goals (or even just make goals in the first place) and get out of that place where they just feel stuck .

Worth reading
Good book with reading. A lot of my pages are dog eared. I like that the author is "real" and shares that her life isn't perfect.
