A Reading Incentive.
Our ten year old grandson loves fishing so we bought this book to encourage his reading, and it seems to have worked. He regularly informed me of how many pages he had read and how much he liked it.

CPCS STUDENT7/24/13Devil's Bridge is a great book. I've read many books but, this one caught my attention. I could not take my eyes off the page and I was always waiting to see what would happen next. The story is about a boy named Ben who had lost his father when he was younger. Ben's father had caught the biggest striped bass on Martha's Vineyard, the island where they lived. Ben enters a fishing derby and everyone is counting on him to beat his father's record. Ben finds out about someone who cheated their way to victory and Ben is in danger. That is the point of the book when I really got hooked on the Ben's adventure! In the end it all turns around and makes this book even better because you do not expect the surprise ending.Although this book was really good, I didn't like the conflict between Ben and Barry. To me, that part was a little dull compared to the rest of the book. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes exciting books to read. If you like a book that gets you going and cannot stop reading, this is the one for you! Even if you do not like to read, this book will set the hook and lure you in!
