ANOTHER Unsung American visionary
Beautiful study of one of a true genius in the arts. Like so many of the Modernists, their work is so full of life, perky and light, while suggesting the farthest regions of our imagination through the deft and spare hand of Harry Bertoia.

A wonderful read in to the life of a great artist.
A very interesting viewpoint (Harry Bertoia's youngest child) of the life, loves and great talent that was Hwrry Bertoia.

Early Bertoia tales told by his daughter who wasn't even there.
a book of stories about Harry and his encounters, and not about his work.definitely not a compendium of his oeuvre.

A very intimate look at this amazing artist. And to think that I thought he only did chairs! This book lets you look inside the man, who was very spiritual and humble and wise. If you want to understand what made him tick and what his philosophy was, this is a great book. The history of the furniture designs is also fascinating, with personal details that bring it all to life. Plus the timeline and list of public sculptures is really helpful. For anyone who is a fan of Bertoia's, this is the book to get.

Text and photos go right into the book gutter making the book difficult to read and very unfortunate for the photos. This is clearly a pressing oversight. I can't believe the publisher let this book go to market in this state. This is an unfortunate disservice to the author.
