Perfect Hue and Brightness
I purchased the CREE BR30 LED Flood bulb in Bright White (3000K) that is 100W equivalent using only 16W and putting out 1400 lumens.I'm very pleased with the flood light! It's the perfect hue with the 1400 lumen brightness. It's yellow, but not too yellow, and the 90+CRI richness creates more contrast and shadow, which is what I needed to see better (I'm visually impaired and contrast and shadow help define things in the room better). I did get a little delay when I turned it on for the very first time, but after that, no more delays since. It's rated to last 22+ years if used 3 hours a day, and it has a 10 year 100% guarantee! So I hope it's going to be a long, long time from now before I write a review about it's longevity! Shot, I might be dead by then if it lasts 22 years! This bulb is a little more pricey than the other bulbs, but I'm happy with the light output, and good quality bright light matters when your vision starts to fail you!It took me forever to decide which brand of LED BR30 recessed flood bulb to purchase. I wanted a 100W equivalent bulb that cast a Natural hue (3500K to 4000K range). It it's too yellow, the room is too dark, and if it's too blue, the room has no contrast, so I needed something in between daylight and soft white. It was very hard to find a good quality LED BR30 flood bulb that is equivalent to 100W, let alone one in a Natural hue tone and I almost gave up. I finally started to go to the manufacturer's websites to find if they even made such a thing, and I found the CREE brand website. I think the CREE brand puts out a pretty good BR30 bulb, and even though I could not find 100W equivalent in the 3500K to 4000K range, they did have one in 3000K (Bright White) so I thought I would give it a go. I'm pleased with the 3000K, but I think I would like a 3500K better, if I could find one.

Great Bulb
I like the 3000K color, it's not as warm as 2700K, but it's not as blue as 4000+. This was perfect. I bought it to replace some cheaper, dying bulbs in my kitchen ceiling cans. The brightness and color accuracy are great. I bought a whole bunch of extras so I can replace all of my can light bulbs with these.I can't attest to longevity yet. The lights are on several hours a day. I've been using these bulbs for about 2 months now. Too short to comment. If I remember I'll come back and update when they finally burn out.All in all, very happy and highly recommend these.

Audible hum with some dimmers
Color and intensity were great, but these produced an audible hum when used with Insteon dimmers, even at full-on. The dimming performance was near perfect however--no flicker and able to dim below 10% before cutting out cleanly. Were I not using Insteon dimmers, or were I hard of hearing, this would be an excellent bulb for me.

Bright, good color, but they won't stop buzzing.
Color and brightness are spot on, so that's a win.The bad news for me is that I can't get them to stop buzzing when dimmed. Initially I installed them on my "CL" dimmer (Lutron), it's rare for bulbs not to buzz on this dimmer, but these were extra bad. I decided to try and get the "ELV+" dimmer which is supposed to work better with LED lamps. While this improved the buzzing noticeably, it's still not fixed. Note that other bulbs no longer buzz. I'm not sure if I'll return the bulbs or not, since I've already wasted the time better color rendering/wattage can be hard to come by.Be warned.NB: Another reviewer mentioned witching the dimmer phase configuration. This did not help in my case, it actually made the buzzing worse, as it seems my dimmer was configured to trailing edge by default.

Lighting up our life- home of the 24 hr midnight...
Hey- our late 80's home is just dark. I changed out the old ceiling inset bulb in our family room and though it may push the wattage rating w/ the variable dimmer--- HAPPY. So much brighter. Any issues are tied to the wiring that I may need to touch up throughout our home. GLAD I went away from the other tech's to current. It's much brighter and the comfort zone that LCD affords works for me. I know I can go "higher" on the equivalent wattage in the fixture and this home needed it. I thought thru these "bulbs" a lot and glad I went with this one.

short life
Only lasted 11 months. In 18' ceiling, not easy to replace.

Oops... works but for only 3 years
I purchased two of these bulbs three years ago and installed them in ceiling can fixtures controlled with a Lutron dimmer. One of the bulbs never worked at low brightness, while the other was fine at all levels. After about 2.5 years (about 4 hours of use per day), the problematic one started flickering randomly. I replaced it with another brand. Now, about six months later (3 years total), the remaining one simply turns off after being on for about 5 minutes. Both of these bulbs had a short life -- less than 5000 hours and left me filled with disappointment. I'll never buy Cree again.

Best LED flood on the market
This lightbulb is the best I’ve ever seen in the LED market. The light is intensely bright, even though the color profile is 3000KIt makes the entire room bright without that irritating white that washes out everything.I keep buying these whenever they are available so I will have a few extras.
