I purchased this book to give as a gift to a new friend who has lived by the ocean all of her adult life. She has several boxes of shells and was bemoaning the fact that she needed to do something with them, but didn't know what to do. This book has given her many ideas, some of which she has started to use. Besides having wonderful pictures to browse through, the book is a very informative, interesting read. If you have collected numerous shells from vacations or walks on the beach, this book will help you to use them. If you have a glue gun, you can use it to put those collections of shells to good use. Would recommend for the serious crafter and those wanting to do something besides putting your shells in a glass jar. Full of many colorful photographs and ideas. Some a little over-the-top, but if you have a beach cottage or home by the water, or even a ocean-themed room, this is full of ideas and instructions. You must really LOVE shells to appreciate this book.

THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN ON DECORATING AND CRAFTING WITH SEA ON SHELLS. THE IDEAS ARE OUTSTANDING AND THE DESCRIPTIONS ARE PERFECT. I REALLY WANT TO TRY A BIG PROJECT LIKE A BATHTUB I FEEL SECURE IN TRYING THIS AFTER LOOKING AND READING THIS BOOK.

Beautiful pictures with no instructions on how to make the items. Very disappointed!:-(

This is a beautiful book, filled with large items covered in shells . One photo after another of beautiful items made, each one utilizing thousands, if not millions of shells. I wanted to love it. I thought there would be at least a few things in the book that I could replicate, but this is just a book for looking - like a museum on paper. There are no 'how-to's or instructions or even an activity or two. I am not sure to whom I would recommend this book. I would say, check it out from a library, or view it at the bookstore. One look should be enough.

Beautiful book. I first got it from the library and knew I wanted it for myself. The price was right and it has so many unique ideas for using shells.

This book is wonderful. It goes into all the details of how to make. It includes the different types of glue/concrete to make the shells stay attached to your work. Great Find.
