Stretch upper
These shoes are attractive enough out of the box, but they are made of a stretch fabric that does not have any structure unlike the picture on the product page. I think this stretch upper is just typical of Arcopedico, something I didn't consider when I ordered. There is a reasonable amount of cushioning in the insole. I wear about an 8-8 1/2 so ordered a 39 and it was about half a size too large. For people with foot conditions that require a little more room, wide feet or high in steps and who don't need a lot of structure these would be great. They didn't work for me and they were, as usual, easily returned.

Just what I needed.
These shoes have a neoprene (think wetsuit) upper and a good strong synthetic sole. They feel like outdoor slippers with quality arch support. I would not contemplate hiking in these shoes but they are going to be perfect to run around town. I bought them especially for travel. I have long 14 hour flights and these will manage the foot swelling and on/off at airports perfectly. They fold flat for packing and are light enough to easily put in my travel tote or backpack.

Love these
Love these shoes. I wear these to work every day, I’m on my feet a lot. There’s a great amount of support for a little shoe. My favorite thing about them is that they do not squeeze or pinch my toes in any way...but also don’t look incredibly boxy.

Walking shoes
I was looking for a pair of comfortable walking shoes for an upcoming trip. A friend recommended the Arcopedico brand.I am very happy with the pair I chose. It has good arch support and the top is a soft synthetic that feels like there's nothing there. No need to break them in, just slip them on and off you go. The only things I was concerned about was the European sizing and had to do some research about US conversion sizing. It all turned fine. I chose size 39 and I wear and 8 1/2 US shoe.

Comfy shoes, slippery foot bed
I am always on the lookout for comfy, work-appropriate vegan shoes. These fit the bill. They are not extremely stylish, but in black they are pretty unobtrusive. They are quite comfy to wear, and the slight wedge is not too fatiguing. I can't tolerate many shoes with heels. My feet are moderately wide, and these were not too narrow. I have had these shoes for about a year and wear them occasionally, and they are holding up well. There are two reasons I don't wear these shoes very often. 1- the slippery with certain socks/tights can cause the shoe to roll to one side occasionally, which could cause me to trip. I suspect this could be fixed by sticking something less slipper inside the footbed, but I haven't tried this yet. 2- the neoprene-like material makes them quite warm, so better in cooler weather.

My mom has severe rheumatoid arthritis (48 years+) and her right foot is severely deformed. She has only been able to wear flip flops for the last year or so. However the material on the top of this shoe is so stretchy and soft she can tolerate them for about an hour or so which in the winter, is a blessing! Will be buying a couple extra pairs as back ups in case they stop selling these.

A little large, overall, but like wearing no shoes
So lightweight, felt like I was not wearing shoes; they fold kind of flat, good for traveling, but fit kind of large for a 42 (I usually wear 10.5 and think I'm a true 42 with a not very wide foot). I did not like the way the heel poked out behind me, nor the way my toes looked like they pointed upwards. Would also worry they wouldn't last very long as my big toenails might poke through the neoprene. Sad to return but also felt they were too pricey for what they were, with the somewhat plastic-like sole. They were not all that attractive on my feet. Will keep searching for a comfortable walkable ballet style shoe.

Size down, but pretty comfortable for a slipper
I am a size 9B in 95% of shoes, and would have ordered a size 40 in this shoe, except for the reviews which said that they ran large. I ordered the 39 and am happy to report that they fit pretty well. My toes do come to the end of the shoe, but don't feel that cramped because of the style of the shoe. The cushioning and arch support are not the best possible, but are good enough for a reasonably comfortable fit. Given the quality and the materials, I think these are slightly overpriced, which is why I knocked off one star. I will wear them primarily around the house and as a driving slipper. They will also be nice for travel, especially for our Hawaiian cruise this fall.
