Honestly I don't know for sure. It would seem to me that if a man went several shades darker than his natural color with Just for Men which is a demi-dye, it would probably not stay real dark for long before wearing off. In using this product myself, I find that I get a better result by using a lighter shade, and just letting it process longer for like 8 minutes instead of 5 before rinsing it out. (I use Sandy Blond; but my hair is sort of Dark Blond.)Since you are light brown, maybe experiment with using medium brown for 8-min, or dark brown for 5 then see how you like it.If you're really bold, I suppose just try black; and if you don't like it, it is supposed to wear off in 6-weeks, which means it would gradually get lighter week-to-week.Also much depends on how long your hair is.
