some of the best coffee I've ever made
First thing first - I love coffee, but specifically I love iced coffee. Making iced drinks at home was challenging/a hassle because i don't want to invest in a big, bulky coffee maker with iced functions, and coffee pods. I feel they are horrible for the environment and are so wasteful of plastic (like the bottles of cold brew sold at the grocery store, as well). Because of my desire to make the best coffee with the least amount of waste, all of the coffee accoutrement I've invested in is metal, portable, reusable, and durable, like my bialetti moka pot percolator, and a hand coffee grinder for fresh ground beans.I decided on investing in the rumble jar too, to have unlimited access to iced coffee without a big financial investment or environmental impact. Let me say - the investment was SO worth the $20. I will bring this with me now wherever I go, along with my percolator. Not only is it an awesomely reusable option, it's durable, VERY easy to clean, and gave me the best cup of iced coffee I've had in a long time. It really feels like I have a full barista set up in my house with none of the equipment. At night, I grind fresh beans, dump them in the rumble jar/mason jar combo, agitate, and let it sit. (The agitation is really cool to see, also!!) It's such a low effort for high output of a large amount of excellent coffee. One mason jar for me is good for two days of coffee. It's strong, tastes amazing, and is so simple. From my perspective, it will be worth the purchase after 3 uses because I will have saved 3 plastic cold brew bottles from the grocery store. I am eager to see how well the metal will hold up, but the metal looks so much more durable than some of the dupes I've seen on Amazon or even Aldi.If you are searching for a reusable and SIMPLE way to make iced coffee all summer, here is your new thing!!! If you are searching for a coffee-making option for traveling/camping/eco friendly-ness, INVEST here.

Perfect Cold Brewer
Love this thing so much. I can make coffee so much quicker now and with less thought. I previously used the OXO cold brew maker and was finding after about a year that it wouldn't drain well, even using a coarse grind. Also, the plastic container holding the brew had gotten scratched pretty good on the bottom where I would scrape it to force it to drain. While the plastic was noted to be BPA-free, it still weirded me out what else could be leaching into my coffee from those scratches. It was just so frustrating. The Rumble Jar is consistent and there's no fuss about draining anymore. Being stainless steel, there's no worry about it leaching any chemicals, unlike the scratches plastic.Plus, since it fits in a mason jar, I can brew it in my fridge now. The OXO brewer was too large for my fridge, so I would brew on the countertop, making my first couple cups warm, which I didn't like. Now it's cold from the first cup using the RJ.Really easy to clean. I just dump the used grinds into my compost bucket and wash the rest out. It would be even easier to clean if the bottom was detachable, though. You can't really make concentrate with it like I could with the OXO since the water needs to cover the column. So, I brew it with grinds up to the second notch and don't dilute it. Filled with water to the top of the 64oz mason jar to brew, I get about 49-50oz of net coffee. It's the perfect amount for 3 days for me, personally.I wish the silicone lid fit on the top of it a little snugger. I have noticed once or twice that the lid had just about come off while brewing when I went to drain it. It has just a small lip that fits over the top. Be gentle with your inversions and fill the mason jar up to the very top with water to prevent that.I can make the coffee and drain it with this, both quickly and consistently. Quick and easy cleanup. Wish I had searched for something like this sooner.

My favorite cold brew maker
I loved my first Rumble Jar so much that I bought another one! We use them every day to make cold brew in the warmer months, so now I always have a clean one ready to go. It's easy to use and the cold brew comes out great with minimal sediment at the bottom of the jar, and I love that it works with the mason jars we already have. The only thing that I would improve, if I had to give constructive feedback, would be that it is a little hard to see the fill lines on the jar. But this is not an issue for me because I weigh my coffee beans with a scale to get the perfect amount for every batch, which is what I would recommend everyone do anyway. I recommend this product to everyone!
