Kohler 22170-CP Purist® Three-function showerhead, 2.5 gpm, Polished Chrome

I've had a Kohler Purist Shower head since 2007. It was installed as original equipment by the developer of my condo building, and I've always loved the look, style, and function of the Purist range. If you're buying this new Purist multi-function shower-head to replace an original that pre-dates environmental building codes, you may have the old shower arm and head that use 1-inch diameter connectors. However, the new standard connectors are half an inch. Therefore, if you buy this beautiful new Purist Mutli-function shower head, you will need an adapter to connect to a 1-inch shower arm. I did a little searching and discovered that you may find yourself needing the "Kohler 1250246 Showerarm Adapter and Gasket Kit." I bought a bunch of other adapters that were not suitable. This shower head, the KOHLER 22170, needs the 1250246 to connect to an original 1-inch shower arm. Installation, with a little plumber's tape and a rubber strap wrench, was easy. Kohler parts fit well together, and it did not leak or drip. The new multi-function capability is wonderful. Yes, the original shower mode is nice, but the mist is great for shaving, and the massage mode is good for tired muscles and other extracurricular activities downstairs in places that can get very very dirty. This Kohler shower head is of a nice quality and looks great, especially as a replacement or upgrade to an existing Purist installation.

Greatest invention for a shower ever. If you’ve never tried an air infused showerhead, you’re missing out. They had one in a hotel in Washington DC and when I redid my bathroom, I knew I had to get it. My kids come over just to take a shower!

I really like this shower head. I replaced a Moen shower head my builder installed a few years ago. The pressure was terrible. I wish I would have replaced it years ago. I did a ton of research on shower heads that did not include a hose, mostly speciality plumbing stores. I did not want a bulky hose hanging in my beautiful shower. The Kohler head looks great (minimilist- medium size head) and has great water pressure. I removed my old shower head and twisted on the new one (no special tools required).

I got this recently to replace a Hansgrohe unit I bought when I renovated my bathroom. The Hansgrohe was really well made but it just didn't put out enough water as it was a 1.8 GPM unit so I purchased this as a replacement. It has 3 modes which is nice, the pulse mode I never use, the full mode is fine but it's the mode called "silk spray" that's great as it's like a fine mist and feels great. As a note, be careful when changing modes as you need to run the water a little hotter in the silk spray mode since it's such a fine spray that going to the other modes will be pretty hot. Overall I like this showerhead, but I'm taking a star off because it feels a little cheap for the price and doesn't seem to be as well built as the hansgrohe I replaced which only cost a little more. Time will tell to see how it holds up.

This is my second Kohler Purist and I highly recommend their shower head. The Amazon vendor sent me the package quickly.

I experienced this shower head for the first time at a Hilton hotel & I absolutely loved the mist function. It completely saturates you & I love it. I was so hesitant on the price but it’s gorgeous & works perfectly. High quality metal construction, easy to install, & 3 awesome settings to chose from.

Wife and daughter love this showerhead, the day it feels so relaxing. We had the same one at a marriott and my wife fell in love with it.
