Nice context for her books, wish it had more about her.
Some interesting context for a beloved book series. Wish it was written with adults more in mind, and with less puff, but it was nice to have something about her. Appropriate for children.

Fascinating Peek Inside the Author's Life
Whether you are a fan of the popular Boxcar Children series of books or not, this is a delightful look at the life and career of the prolific children's book author, Gertrude Chandler Warner. While I was familiar with her as a children's book author, I had no idea she had written several books for adults or had led such a productive life. It was particularly interesting to learn how many books she had written over the course of her life in spite of bad health, and as an author myself, I was in awe of someone who published and illustrated her first book at the age of 9! This is an inspiring biography of a woman who achieved great things in her life and overcame tremendous challenges. If you haven't read any of the stories about the Boxcar Children, you might want to check them out. Parents and educators might want to consider using this book as a way to teach about overcoming adversity to achieve success. Gertrude Chandler Warner and The Boxcar Children

Very Good
This book was very interesting. If you are a Gertrude Chandler Warner fan this is for you. It does not, however, inform you of why and how so many people are able to use her name since her death. Clearly none of the books since her death come close in quality to those that she herself wrote.
