Easy enough for a kid to use
It does as it is supposed to do. It saves a lot of time by not having to find keys. I’ve not had any problems and it’s nice not having any kind of batteries to change, or worry about going dead and getting locked out.

Slightly odd function, but work great.
Use these at the beach house for our owners closets so we don’t forget the keys. They’re a little odd at first but work well and are very secure.

The lock works good
This key and code door lock works good and is well built. I previously had a code door lock that used an app and it was a super pain. That lock would fail at times and it was rolling the dice if you could get into the house. Nope. Ditched it for something that doesn't use an app or a battery. This may be Stone Age technology but you don't have to worry about getting into your house and no batteries is a big plus in my book. The installation wasn't hard but the bolt that goes into the door frame's hole is deeper than other door locks I have had so took some boring with a drill bit into the door frame to get it to go into it and equally the shaft that goes into the door was bigger and deeper too so took more boring into the door to get it to go fit. The code was simple to do, just put in the numbers you want using the small metal blocks and take the other metal blocks out. Looked like a brass type of metal that forms your code and is different than the other metal blocks so it is important to make sure you keep the extra blocks in a place that won't get discarded away. To lock, just turn the outside knob all the way to the left and it will lock and then push your code and turn the knob to the right to open. Inside the knob is elliptical and you turn it to the left to open and to the right to lock. I like this lock and the fact of no more Russian Roulette if the thing will open or not means so much to me.No more locks for me that need an app or WiFi to work, or needs batteries. This lock is simple and direct. What are the cons? I wished I could keep the door closed when the lock is opened but it is either locked, it will keep the door closed, or unlocked and your door will come open, nothing stopping it from staying closed. The bolt that goes into the door frame is either totally into the frame or totally inside the door. The other con is I have big hands and the outside knob is small and close to the metal numbered blocks that stick out some so I will hit my knuckles on the numbered blocks if I am not careful and it smarts. I wished they made the outside knob bigger or at least make it go further out from the numbered blocks. I also would have liked a normal inside door knob rather than the elliptical knob, but it isn't a deal breaker to me on that but rather a preference.Overall though, you can't go wrong with this door lock and if you are like me and don't want to take a chance on if you can get into your house with an app or batteries, this is a no brainer!

Best value overall
Ive purchased and installed several key code pad locks over the years. This one was the easiest one to install. It also is the most well made. Great price too!

Easy install, but…
3 minutes with a hammer and a pair of pliers got right in.I had this for my shed, but I think I’ll have to go with a solid deadbolt. The knob is the weak link.

I FINALLY got it to work and am fairly pleased with it.
The lock worked well after a fairly difficult installation. It was more difficult for me to install this one than other brands I’ve installed because the lock’s bolt latch mechanism was too short when not extended and too long when extended! This was not a problem with the door as it was easy to install another brand’s lock on it a few days before. I had drilled the door with a standard 2-3/4” backset (I believe). I had to drill the 1” hole a little deeper to almost fix the problem. I was glad to see it finally worked for me but I was disappointed when I watched a couple videos by locksmiths showing how easy the lock is disabled. The lock’s front cover plate is easily removed with a screwdriver and it is also easily picked, at least by the locksmith videos. The very short screws for the door frame strike plate were tiny (very short). I plan on replacing them with 3” screws for a little more security. It might be fine for a low security situation but I’d not want it to be the only lock where a secure lock is desired. I love the fact that it requires no batteries because I had only a few days before purchased a Kwikset 99070-103 Powerbolt 2 that requires batteries and it would not work except when using the key! Not very keyless, Kwikset! I decided that a purely mechanical lock with no tiny weak motor and batteries to fail would be a better choice. The lock I received was made by Elemake, at least the box and literature had this name on it, however the Amazon ad listed it as a Bravex lock. For the price, I’m fairly pleased with it. At least it works!
