And no heat build-up with it not being in a case--the SSD is itself its own enclosure in this setup. Honestly it's cheap and seemed high quality but apparently it's what's on the inside that counts. Although if feels and looks nice this product never worked for me. I've tried on 3 different computers and still no luck. It was only like $5 so it's not even worth chatting support, printing labels and driving to get it sent back. All and all there are a lot of other cheap ones that will probably work with faster transfer rates too.
