Fun, educational games, great bang for the buck
Games in the โArcadeโ include Albertโs Escape (problem solving), Jumping Gertie (phonics/letters), some worm game where you eat numbers. The games in the Arcade section have three levels of difficulty. Then thereโs a โPracticeโ section that has carnival type game that works on numbers and counting, a spelling game, and a sight words/reading one. These also have three levels of difficulty. Thereโs โPlayground,โ which has a search and find game, a timed game to see how many problems you can solve before the bunny pops out, and I think thereโs another one in there Iโm missing. Thereโs a โMusicโ section where kids can listen to different songs, or make their own beats. The โPetsโ section has different eggs that hatch into different creatures that they can take care of by feeding, bathing, brushing teeth, and playing with. These pets become adults when weโll cared for. Thereโs also an โArtโ section I forget what itโs named, but they can make pixel art and I canโt remember what else. But there are quite a lot of activities packed into this little game! Players 1 and 2 have their progress saved, the Guest player does not. Some games you rotate the toy for a different orientation (my son never does). Charge also holds very well, I think weโve only fully charged it 3-4 times in the 3 months weโve had it. At most, my kid will go for 30 minutes on it, not every day, but there were a few times we were on the road where he had it for longer and more frequent. So my almost 5 year old took to this quite easily. I had to tell him a once or twice how to get to different screens and games, then he was off. He really loves it! He has had it for about 3 months now and turned 5, and has earned all the medals for at least one, if not 3 of the main games. The good part is there are 3 levels to the main games, each level a bit more challenging. It really is educational and incorporates problem solving. I had to of course buy two so little sister would have her own, and she doesn't use it as well, but has definitely gotten the hang of the pet game (her favorite) once you get her to the screen. She is almost 3 now. Itโs a really a cool little device. I even like playing with it! Iโll try to add a video later!

Perfect for SN child! LOVE
Leapfrog has always been a hit with my kids, but theyโve outdone themselves with this one! I have a special needs child who will be 13 soon. Mentally she is at the ages 4-6. Her motor and cognitive skills arenโt the best & due to everything going on with her, she canโt really figure out how to use another big brand game controller or the games .. but LOVES to watch her dad play and she pretends to play with him. This little gem was exactly what I was hoping and praying for! It has everything to keep her busy, learning and entertained without buying extra games (we did buy the extras in case, but they really arenโt needed) The buttons light up which tell her what she needs to do next. Itโs teaching her and helping her learn how to manipulate these games (Iโm hoping) Even if this doesnโt do everything โ ITS A GAME CHANGER, still for my house! We did buy the carrying/protective case for it. In case something were to happen to this, I would buy it over and over and over again!! Itโs worth every penny in my eyes.

Super cute and entertaining
My 4.5 year old loves this! The music is fun and all of the different button controls challenge her. I find her wanting to play with this all of the time. She got it for christmas with the intention of using it on an upcoming road trip and i like this for an alternative to a tablet for a while. Some reviews i read said that they were upset that its not a touch screen but that hasnt been a concern of mine and my daughtwe figured it out quite quickly. She has enough touch screen items, i like how tactile this is. And it makes her feel like she has her own little game system to play with when her big sister plays on her nintendo ds. Ive even caught my almost 8 year old pick it up and want to play it some. I love that the add on packs are nice and cheap too and come with a new pet. I have no regrets in purchasing this item. I will update my review on how useful it is for our cross country road trip

Great toy!!
I bought this toy for my 18 month old grandson even though I knew he was a bit young for it, but he is a bright "busy" little boy and needs extra mind stimulating toys that can keep his interest. Actually this learning game toy is great. It plays music, arcade games, artwork and much more, but is more advanced than for an 18 mo. old child but I'm glad I got it as our grandchild loves to push the lit up buttons and tries to play the games with me and this learning game system does keep him busy for awhile. Our 5 1/2 year old grandaughter likes to play the games too, and I must admit I also have been found trying to play the games. This is a great toy and I highly recommend it.

Great learning tool!
Bought this for my 2 year old nephew to play with on a road trip and he loves it! Let me say this i know it says recommended for 4 and up but I bought it anyway because he just loves to learn. He was a little confused at first because his dad let's him play on his iPhone and tablet so he was shocked to learn that he had to us buttons instead of just touch the screen. But now he prefers this game unit over everything else and has so much fun learning hand and eye coordination then just simply passing his fingers over a screen. There is also so much more for him to do and you don't have to worry if it has wifi and the battery life last forever (actually 2-3 days depending on how much you let them play on it). It's very kid friendly just simple hand it over and watch them go!

Kids and Adults Love it
This is neat little "my first GameBoy" type of handheld console for kids 3+. My 3 year old loves the pet "egg" games, and my 5 and 7 year old nieces can navigate the menus and choose from the dozen plus games. Very neat combination of tactile learning and video games to keep kids engaged. It does come pre-loaded with several games, most of which are the only things my kids play. However if you want to load new games, you have to first purchase the physical game packs (which usually include a toy and a card with a code), then tether the RockIt Twist to a PC with the included micro USB cable, install Leapfrog software on the PC, then type in codes into the software to redeem/download the games to the device. I hope newer versions of this don't require parents/guardians to tether, or at least expand on this with other code redemption options. Plenty of "smart" devices today that piggyback off Bluetooth connections to hand-off network WiFi credentials, then from there it would be as simple as scanning a QR code or using a companion Android/iPhone app to purchase games, then automatically download the game directly to the device wirelessly.

Perfect for us
I was really excited about this product when I came across it while looking for another leapfrog product. I bought 2 for my girls (ages 5 & 7) back in April, but wanted to wait for a while before leaving a review. The product does come preloaded with a bunch of games already, and I also purchased all of the separate game packs. There are two things that I really like about this product. One being that the purchased game packs can be uploaded to multiple rocket twists, so you don't have to buy seperate games for each one. The second being that this product, (unlike the other leapfrog products I own), is rechargeable. I've read some reviews that said you shouldn't buy this product if your child is already good with an iPad, but I would have to respectfully disagree. Both of my children can easily navigate phones, tablets, laptops, ds's, ect. And they both Love this product. It's been their favorite toy for the last couple of months. I really think it all depends on the child. If you're not sure, I highly recommend going to YouTube and watching some videos of the different games for the device to see if it's something you think your child would enjoy.

Great product
My son love this! It is a bit pricy, but the battery lasts a very long time. It is easy to charge. The music is kind of annoying for parents, but the kids love it. We use it all the time for longer drives. Would definitely buy it again.
