Ready Mixed Cement ›› Maximum Concrete Mix 25kg ‹‹ 20 litres Volume in 1 Bag

I bought Maximum Concrete by Maxrete for a small garden project around the back of my house where I couldn’t get a traditional concrete truck to deliver. This product didn't disappoint and made the work easy. You get twice the volume of concrete in one Maxrete 25kg bag as you do with a bag of normal concrete, therefore making it a lot easier to carry around to the back of my house. Saving time, and saving my ageing back ! The bags are bigger than traditional concrete bags making them easier to manage and made of a new ecological material. I hauled 5 bags, but would have had to carry 10 of the older traditional bags...Mixing was easy, all I had to do was add water. I used a wheelbarrow and shovel to do this. I needed to make 2m2 and used 5 bags. The depth was around 50mm. The concrete set in about 2hrs and was ready to walk on the following day, ready to start my fixings. It dried with a smooth finish and consistent colour. I will defo be using this product again and would recommend it to anyone who has to carry bags through projects. This saved me time and as I said earlier saved my back !

Really pleased that the bag was as easy to carry as advertised! Product really nice to work with and gave an excellent finish- used by my husband who has a great deal of experience with concrete and it definitely got the thumbs up- would buy it again and recommend it.

It does the job. I only gave it 4 stars because it seems to contain small granuals which don't mix in with the rest of the cement. This makes it hard to get a very smooth finish but it did the job.

What can I say but this product is excellent. I'm no builder but got the hang of mixing and applying it quite quickly. It's very fairly priced even though I couldn't find any like product anywhere on the high street.The best thing I can say is that I've not finished the project and have reordered the same product.Only thing that might make the experience better is if the option to pay to get the product sooner was offered. It's just an observation though and not a reflection on the product.

Be careful with what you want to use this for.It is not smooth but rather all small pebbles the size of small spheres like BB's in a BB gun.You cannot use it for a smooth paste, and you cannot use it for brick work, repointing or pointing.Also- DPD deliver company split the bag open during transport, and "carefully" taped it up again, put it in a plastic crate but with holes in the bottom. Obviously, you dont't know that when moving it about. A big mess from A-Z.

I bought this because I needed to fill in gaps in my patio and make general repairs to some broken slabs. My main issue was fixing areas where the slabs had cracked and become dangerous by sticking up. My home is an old property so the patio is well worn with a lot of small areas that need attention. I have not worked with cement before ever so I was a bit apprehensive about doing the repairs myself. I needn’t have been. If you’re a ‘beginner’ like I was, you simply added water to the cement powder - I don’t own a cement mixer- you don’t need one! I used a bucket and it was fine. I also added a bit of sharp sand into the mix and that worked well too. So, if you’re not an experienced builder and are feeling unsure about getting this, I think if you’re working on little repairs or similar then I would happily recommend this. I don' t have a car and this was good quality, convenient and arrived promptly. Managed to lay a foundation in an old fire place hearth without any issues.

The cement itself is great we used it for fence posts it also started raining just soon after we poured it, this hasn’t affected it at all.My only complaint about the cement is one burst probably in transit to us and it’s packed with polystyrene pieces so we had to sieve the cement powder out. Overall satisfied with the cement and it came earlier than expected 😊
