It arrived in a decent amount of time (didn’t feel painfully long) and was in perfect condition. As others have mentioned, the wood is definitely darker in real life than it is in pictures, but we didn’t mind that. I think it allowed for more contrast between the colors of the bed and the paint color of the walls. Well I thought why not, the why not is head board reaks, it's been two weeks airing, smell horrible, as far as need box springs not true. Previous bed has same set up, just re in force and put a good board on top. I will give this bed 5 stars it's gorgeous, true French country.
