This is absolutely gorgeous, the inside pages feel nice and easy to write on, as well as being artificially aged to add tot he fantasy-esque theme to the journal. The pen is a nice, simple ball point pen that matches the coloring of the journal and overall, a fantastic gift or item for someone who loves to write. A lot of reviews on here complain about a bad smell from the journal but rest assured, they probably have over sensitive noses. There is definitely a smell from the book but it is VERY faint and is an ordinary fresh paint smell as these journals are handmade and this is to be expected. Open the packaging and let it air out for a few hours max and the smell will be gone. Really wonderful product overall.

I gotta say! I got this book as a Christmas present and I am absolutely in LOVE with it! I've read the other reviews and I have no idea why they are saying it has a bad or strong odor. I have a lot of journals and this is the least fragrant one I've had and the smell it DOES have is leather and paper and if you are a leather bound book/journal fan you'll know it smells WONDERFUL!! LOL! the paper is beautiful and the pen writes very smooth! The craftsmanship is so wonderful and honestly I just can't say enough good things about it! I WILL be purchasing more journals from this company!

I am picky about journals and planners but thought the Phenix was beautiful. I was so excited to get it. It did not disappoint in appearance initially but once I opened it I discovered the back cover is damaged. I'm not going to return it but I'm not sure if it's how it was packaged but it was just disappointing. That being said no one will see where it is damaged. I know it's there so it irks me but that's just me personally. Will be lovely...I think it would make a good gift just check for any damage prior to gifting...oh and it does not come with a pen

I bought the Phoenix bird theme color gold, my order were multiple other things as well but it came very fast like in a week, I'mvery happy about everything, USA location. Is a beautiful piece! with stunning details, as soon you open the box you will be shocked and rush to touch it! You will not be disappointed!! It came with a nice black looking ink pen, exterior color->black and gold. Take off the plastic tip on the pen! The notebook has a silver fabric pages divider. Warning: while intending to open the notebook it feels fragile, just be gentle with it, also note the I hadn't wrote in it or even open the book completely, i just literally got it. I will leave some pictures of it for better appreciation. I'm in love and will definitely get more fore gifts and myself!... Español Estoy impresionada, compré el libró de notas con el tema del Ave Phoenix en color oró, para añadir a este hermoso libro el tiempo de rebirlo es de una semana de ordenarlo, localización USA. 1st time I'm writing review for any product.Because this is a amazing note book. I really like it. I don't know why people wrote bad reviews. Before I ordered I read reviews & I worried, then I taught ok let's take a risk. Now see I'm wine. This is really perfect. Nothing damage. I'm loving with this notebook. Lo utilicé para un regalo, el material es muy bueno y al tacto resulta agradable. La pluma que viene junto al producto es de buena y permite escribir bastante.
