Fit the need
These are not professional-grade shoes, but they work fine for short-term, cost less than buying even at Payless, and shipping was fantastic. I will not buy dance/acting clothing through a dance shop again, unless I need frills and glitter. My daughters (13 and 7) were in a 6-week theatre camp that included 4 different modes of dance, acting, and a final musical performance on stage. I purchased all equipment they needed for the program through Amazon. We started at a dance shop - prices were very high, then we went to Payless who didn't have sizes for my older daughter. From Payless I searched on Amazon and found the same shoes and many more options, at reasonable prices...some even less than Payless. Once I had the correct shoe size, I ordered through Amazon.Im rating these shoes a 3 because the insert is cardboard, not fabric, and it is glued to the bottom of the shoe. By the end of the 6 weeks, inserts on both pair were slipping out and what is underneath is ugly and uncomfortable to wear. My 13-year old threw hers away. The shoes were slightly big for my 7-year old, but easily adjusted by tightening the string.I also learned that the jazz shoe is actually preferred by most theatre-based dancers. It is more durable, and versatile. I ordered those and tap shoes through Amazon as well.

Ballet shoes, don't buy larger
First, I read SO many reviews indicating to order a size or half size up. No, do not do that. I did. I read reviews and it seemed the majority said buy larger. Definitely not a good idea. My daughter wears a size 8, I ordered a size 9. They are HUGE on her, as a dancer myself you can't possibly do point in these things. Horrible. All of that aside, these are great shoes for beginning dancers. They have arch support and for toddlers that's important it helps strengthen their foot. Overall the shoe is well worth what I paid, especially considering it's a shoe and NOT a slipper. They are theatrical pink which is typical suggested. Great buy and reasonable cost.

Nice quality for the price.
Very pleased with these shoes. We needed pink for a recital, and didn't want to spend too much since my daughter is unsure whether she wants to take ballet again. We previously bought her ballet shoes from Payless, which are a nice quality for little girls starting in ballet. Those shoes run about 20 bucks a pair. These shoes look as good or better and were a much better price. We've really only used them for the recital, so I can't speak to how well they'll hold up over time, but they appear well made. Again, I am basing this on use for my 6 year old in beginner ballet. Also, she typically wears a size 13.5 or 1 kids shoe. I wasn't sure about sizing on these, but what I ordered fir great and the drawstring tie helps keep them on well. I would buy these again.

So pleased with these ballet shoes
Our daughter needed new ballet shoes for dance this year, but I decided to check on Amazon this year to see if I could find some more reasonably priced than the ones we normally buy at a local dance shop. When I found these, I figured it wouldn't hurt anything to give them a try. I'm SO happy that I did, they are just as good as the more expensive ones we normally purchase for her! Our daughter loved the fit, they look great, and I saved about 40%. Yay!I do think that the sizing was pretty on par with other brands. My daughter is currently wearing size 2 to 3 (depending on brand) in shoes, so we ordered a 2.5 M. Fits well!

Beautiful slippers but be mindful of sizing!
I am very pleased with the quality, color & design of these ballet slippers. They seem very well made and durable. The color is appropriately a very pale pink/nude. Unfortunately, the size I ordered is one full size too large so my daughter (usually a 10 or 10.5 in street shoes) won't be able to wear them immediately. I ordered a size 11 after reading countless reviews of ballet shoes being too small; for THIS brand, it seems it would be wise to order the size comparable to the dancer's street shoe size.

Could not tighten to correct width
Too wide. Inexpensive materials.

One Star
These appear microscopic when you first take them out of the box. They seemed so small at first that I was going to return them. Compared to my child's tennis shoes the slippers seemed 3/4 of their size! However, my husband urged me just to try them and they ended up fitting well. My three year old wears a size 8 and I ordered an 8.5.

seems to run big
My 4 yr old daughter outgrew her capezio daisy ballet shoes in 10W so I bought these pink ballet shoes in 10.5W. They're a solid 3/4 inch bigger/longer than the capezio 10W. They're definitely too big for my daughter at this point but she doesn't seem to mind and I hope we'll get more than one season out of them. She's only worn them around the house so I can't yet speak to their durability. They seem fine. The leather insole inside the shoe is soft. Otherwise they're very comparable to the capezio daisy in quality. The pink color was as expected, traditional ballet pink.
