Genuine Osmo Pocket Extension Rod Phone Holder 1/4-Inch Tripod Mount Compatible with DJI Osmo Pocket Camera Handheld 3 Axis Gimbal Stabilizer

One of the main attractions of the Pocket 2 is it's small size and pocketability. This pretty much eliminates those advantages, however it really makes the Pocket 2 even more useful so I end up using the Pocket 2 with the extension rod more than I do without. Don't get me wrong, this thing is not that big when it's collapsed.What I like:-Well engineered, folds up pretty small.-Holds the pocket securely.-Holds your phone securely.-Can use it for selfies (duh!). But more than your basic front facing selfies, using your phone to help you frame shots you can take shots from the side, rear, of your feet, etc. when walking using follow mode and it tracks you perfectly.-It seems counterintuitive but you can hold the camera steadier with the rod than you can without it.-It has a tripod hole, using with a small tripod you can still get the Pocket a couple of feet off the ground for decent shots.-Can take drone like shots using the rod to push the Pocket through openings.-Can take low or high shots easily.-Works well even if you don't attach your phone.Things that could be improved:-The joystick button is very touchy, no way to adjust the sensitivity using the app.-The app does not display which gimbal mode you're in, so it can be kind of hard to keep track as you cycle through gimbal modes.-Buttons are not customizable.-No way to zoom using controls on the extension rod, you have to zoom using the app.-When using the phone wirelessly with the pocket 2, it takes a while for the phone to connect to the Pocket using the app. This makes quick shots difficult unless you leave the Pocket and your phone on.Overall I find it to be a very handy accessory.

The extension rod makes it very easy to shoot from different angles. You can easily attach your mobile device. You can either use a wireless module (which I recommend) or a cable to have mobile device communicate with Osmo Pocket (OP). The control stick on the handle works perfectly. You can also easily attach other accessories to the rod. Bottom line is this is a super handy accessory for the OP, especially if you VLOG.

Works well. Only complaint i could have is when you click button controls for the camera it is very audible on recording. But easy to use great for small simulated boom shots. It’s also nice it has a tripod mount on the bottom.

I'm a huge DJI fan. I have the Mavic 2, Osmo Mobile 3, Osmo Pocket, and Pocket 2. For the original pocket, I was using a telescoping handle with a DJI mount for filming, so when I saw that DJI released an extension rod specifically for the Pocket, I bought it right away.The quality is typical DJI quality (good), and it's convenient having controls on the handle that can control the gimbal. Overall I'm very satisfied, but I also feel that DJI missed an opportunity here to include a battery in the handle that charges the Pocket, because otherwise you have to run a cable to an outlet/battery pack/phone. So I am knocking it down by one star just because they weren't as innovative as I expected they would be.

Now they went and did it. DJI rewrote the industry on selfie stick style products.This is the GENUINE OSMO POCKET EXTENSION ROD.As you see in the photos this is extremely extraordinary extremely advanced piece of technology HOWEVER!!! The simplicity and ease that DJI has put in this will really shock you.You simply place the OSMO Pocket in the upper part, you remove the protective cover on front of the Pocket and that has the tiny connections you need to use the Extension Rod. Then you secure it in place with the locking mechanism and on the bottom of the OSMO Pocket you place the OSMO WIRELESS MODULE.Next step is to place your mobile device in the expandable part that secures your mobile device in place and engage the DJI MIMO app. This will now wirelessly connect everything you need. The OSMO Pocket already turned on and you sign-in your account.The extension rod starts at 9 1/4" to full extension with the use of 5 telescopic tubes to the full 29 3/4" completed length. The extension portion itself is 19 1/2". The top portion where you place the OSMO Pocket pivoting front to back and back to front 105° (tilting).The mount where you place your mobile device opens from 2 1/8" to 3 1/4". The space holding your mobile device will accommodate up to 3/4" thick devices thus holding a mobile device with a case on it. My Samsung Galaxy S9+ (not photographed) has a Apatronix battery case and I have no issues.The OSMO Pocket Extension Rod specs:•199 grams in weight•Black in color•LiPo battery - battery life depends upon far too many variables to give a definitive time on how long it lasts on a full charge.Personally, I have used OSMO Pocket for 2 1/2 hours. The media could not be loaded. I purchased this extension rod to take low angle shot of my dog. It works very well. I used the rod with Osmo Pocket but without a smartphone. The video like this can only be possible with this extension rod. I am very happy with my purchase.

There are many great accessories for the Osmo pocket - and this is one of the best. I bought the extension rod because I thought it might one day come in handy. I was wrong. I soon found out there are numerous times this has allowed me to get a better shot or an impossible shot then if I didn't have it. The controls on the handle work seamlessly with the Osmo pocket and it securely holds the Osmo pocket with no fear of it falling off. Yes it is one of the larger accessories but it still can fit in a jacket pocket when folded and in the long run you will be glad you have it with you. I love it.
