Good for the price
Purchased (£16.95 | 25 November 2017)Do remember the price involved here, £16.95 not a lot of money for a security device like thisInfo: It takes 6x AG13 watch sized batteries + allen key needed to openPros:It is surprisingly strong and heavy, I was expecting something weaker and lighter for the priceThe alarm is loud, and you get a blast of 3 notes to warn you before the alarm goes offIt is very sensitive (I like that, I want it to go off if anyone even touches my bike, rather than while they are stealing it)The reminder cable is helpful at first, but I ended up throwing it after I was in the habitCons:The paint has started to deteriorate due to being out in the rain a lot, seems to be only cosmetic

Use on rear wheel... stop scum
Not much to say really as its a disc lock.... anyone who owns a bike probably knows what a disc lock is... so.. This one fills pretty solid, i'm not gonna bash it with a hammer to find out.. the alarm is pretty loud, enough to make someone jump... you do need to tie a bit of string around the free reminder as it don't fit on the disc lock.. but it was free :o) ... and cause I have prime it came the next day...You see so many bikers using disc locks on the front wheel, try and get in the habit of locking your rear wheel.. I've watched it on CCTV at work a guy locked his front wheel.. two scum walked up hooked there arms under the handle bars one each side lifted the front wheel and walked off with the bike and loaded it in a van... lock rear wheel it makes it harder to carry off as you have to lift the back wheel up and it has all the weight... bit like a wheel barrow...Back to the disc lock... for the money I was happy... but best to use another lock as well... 2 locked wheels are better than one...

Good lock but...
Excellent lock for the price but the alarm is perhaps a little TOO sensitive - looking forward to the battery running out now, as are my neighbours no doubt!! - On the plus side I think saying it is 110db is somewhat optimistic, although it is certainly shrill enough to akert you if a robin has landed on your handlebars or a falling leaf has brushed off your petrol tank or similar... On the whole though it's a good solid lock for a good price! 👍

Very good safety Lock with an alarm on it and it’s brilliant?

Cheap and not good
Build quality isn't great, the alarm trips at any given moment from a slight gust of wind... better off buying a more expensive and better functioning one.

Good alarm, but too sensitive & a bit fiddly to attach
The alarm is quite loud, as are the 3 warning beeps that it sounds when it first detects movement. It's quite difficult to fit on the disc, you just have to keep trying until it works. The major problem is that it is just too sensitive. If you put a cover over your bike then any wind will blow the cover and cause the alarm to go off. It's also quite tricky to put it on, or take it off, without the alarm going off.

Great job.
Good to know the bike is secure, or at least tamper proof with the alarm.Doesn't go off in the rain like others have said.I've owned a good while now and zero issues.
