From the Manufacturer          The DC-4 first entered service as a transport during World War 2. The DC-4 was employed after the war as the first long-range 4-engine airliner employed by the major airlines. Surplus C-54’s were originally used as early post war airliners until new production aircraft were produced like this United Airlines aircraft produced in 1947.This plastic model assembly kit represents one of several aircraft as used by United Airlines from 1947 to the late 1950’s and features:
