5 ⭐'s for the show but only 3 for the fact there is no booklet,wrong description. Season 2 and season 3 have a little booklet inside that only names the episodes. There is only 22 disc not 24. The box does say 55 hours run time not 51. I'm very upset that I didn't recieve a booklet like some but not all others did. I am thankful no disc was scratched or damaged as far as I can see. This is a wonderful show and I'm glad to get it for $40. Well worth it even without the booklet. I laughed so hard last night while watching the show. There will never be any comedian's like the one's on Mama's family and never another show like this. All of these comedians like Vicki Lawrence, Carol Burnett, Harvey Korman and many others have,had their own shows at one time or have appeared on so many others with other great comedian's like Tim Conway and so many more from a great era in time. They are all so dearly missed. If you enjoy wonderful, hilarious, clean comedy you have to have Mama's FAMILY! If you have never seen it you haven't a clue as to what you have been missing. I might try to reorder to see if I can get one with the booklet. But I doubt it because as you can see from my photo's the box is a different release not what is shown in the description. Life time,StarVista could have done a better job at restoring this wonderful show. It deserved much better than it got. It still looks pretty good on my blu-ray player but I doubt it looks as good on a dvd player. Amazon needs to fix the description for this set.

I love Mama's Family. A great video collection. Unfortunately, there are some flaws to these videos. Once in a while they will freeze up and you have to hit fast forward just for a second to continue. I think it a little bit pricey but I bought it anyway because I love Mama's Family. Actually, the first two discs are the funniest. It seems that the longer the videos go on the Dumber Ken Berry gets. Humor gets a little bit dry after the first two DVDs

(i got the starvista 26 disk version, the second best of the 3 versions) i did not want any 'cut' episodes and the bigger version above this one is too expensive and/or hard to find. the video quality i feel is on the poor side, not even average. partly because its on 'video' as opposed to 'film' but it still was quite blurry and artifact-y in a compression sense. the acting (and writing for that matter) is on the poor side to me as well with the exception of mama (and to a lesser extent ken, white and iola), any scene or line with mama was good and made it all worth it. i remember watching it and never seemed to be able to catch it on re-runs nowadays so i ordered it.... it was not as good as i remember. got it for about $60 and find this BARELY worth it. (for reference my favorite comedy's are G girls, Seinfeld and big bang theory and not much else. certainly nothing after Seinfeld with the exception of BBT. i love bewitched, mash and most things late 60's to mid eighty's.)

The plots are fun and interesting ..A 'go-to' viewing pick when you need something light and uplifting...a great escape.

Mama's Family fans have been waiting for this set for a long time! I am so glad I can give those old bootlegs away to someone else as I now own Mama's Family in the highest quality possible.A few things you should know: the box is HUGE. You probably won't keep it around. The booklets it comes with are neat (mine was even signed by Vicki Lawrence!) but the real treat here is every single episode of Mama's Family. The box you get is filled with individually wrapped DVD cases for seasons 1-6 plus the bonus features. Each DVD also comes with a booklet explaining what's on the disc. It also lists the original air dates for each episode which I thought was super cool.This show was shot in Standard Definition and it looks fine on an HDTV but prepare yourself for the black bars on the sides as the picture is square shaped and not rectangular like all of our new fancy high def TVs. You can probably stretch the picture but I'd rather it look normal rather than stretched. It doesn't bother me a bit.I am super happy with my purchase and now I have Mama forever!

Mom loved it

It came packaged well. I rated 3 stars because i was told it was brand new but they came some wrapped and hadn’t been unwrapped in years and the others were not wrapped in plastic. Wasn’t impressed at first but after watching all seasons no damage to dvds and played well.

I used to watch this on TV and when I got my package, I was very happy to watch Mama in action. The quality is pretty good, considering the age too. No regrets buying this set. We all need a good laugh now and then.

I grew up watching this. I was beyond happy to see that the whole show was on DVD! Going to definitely watch all of it at once!100% recommended it!

Started to watch this on Cable then it stopped. Glad to get this on DVD
