I received this ice cream maker today and have made 3 batches of ice cream already! 1st was the chocolate recipe that came with the instruction, (very easy to use ) 2nd I poured in, right out of the container, the Southern Comfort Egg Nog , both kinds , different batches. And YUMMM ! I'll be gaining weight this egg nog season!!! The machine works great. Cleans up easily enough. As I had read in another review, when pushing the hard serve button, you get soft serve . It doesn't actually stop , it sounds an alarm and you have to push stop.Thus the 4 star rating. But put it in a container and freeze for later. I can't tell you yet, as I haven't eaten the frozen stuff yet, but it will be delicious . As of it's first day here , I like it . I like ice cream!

I have owned regular tub freezing ice cream machines but never had room in my freezer so hardly used them. Thermo Electric Self-Freezing ice cream System blow my mind when saw it on QVC so did some research into the technology and bought it. Amazing that i can take already cold half&half then add some sugar,vanilla and some flavoring any time i want and have ice cream 1.5 to 2 hours later with out 24 to 48 hours freezing ice cream tube. It only uses 1.5 cups mix to make 1.5 pint but the freedom any time of my choice made my buy 2 just so i can fill my 2 quart holder in half the time. Machines with freezing technology built in are expensive but this brings that home for a much better price. Thermo Electric Self-Freezing System is best choice and now WP has 2.1 pt machine so hopefully this will start trend to larger capacity machines.
