need the correct driver to screw in, if not youll scratch it all up

The media could not be loaded.  I engage in Locksport and know methods of attacking lock sets. Latch slipping is a common attack. These were easy to install and did exactly what I wanted it to do which was prevent a latch slip attack on the door.

Yes, easy to install and use. So far they are helpful, but you never know the bad guys. These are good for simple doors. Thanks

We had problems with homeless using tools and items to spring the latches open on our metal "security" doors. These were challenging to install but have worked as needed to keep the doors from being pried open. (Some of the screws that come with this a are designed to allow only install -- not removal. So we initially installed using regular screws to make certain everything was aligned and working, then replaced the regular screws with these special "install only" screws.)

I highly recommend this. I followed the recommendation from other reviews and installed the door jab side plate with regular Philips head screws, then switched them out for the security screws once I was happy with the fitting. The door plate uses regular Philips but that is not an issue as you cannot access these screws when the door is closed.

Would gave it 5 but they are not security screws, they are regular flat head screws

I have a challenging child who's will try all sorts of things to get to items that have been taken away or aren't for him. I'd installed keypad locks on doors of two rooms, and then noticed he'd found a way to get in anyway. He was chipping away at the wood (see before and after photos 1-3). I was distressed and was sure I'd have to get a replacement/metal door, but, advised by another parent of a similarly challenged child, first searched around and found this solution. I ordered two, they arrived quickly, and were quite easy to install.There does need to be a bit of a gap/distance between the door and the frame (hard to explain) to have a good fit. It went on seamlessly on one door. On the second I couldn't use the both parts but left the one piece in place to keep him from picking away at the wood (see 4th photo).

It serves its purpose, but for the price, I wish it was longer to cover larger deadbolt-handle combos...

I really wanted SS or brushed nickel finish to replace a similar polished brass item. The grey looks a bit industrial so I might try spray painting it. The brass ones on the market are also longer. Why is the market for other metal finishes not being met?Other than that, it is easy to install and functionally acceptable.
