Perfect
I love this sweet little pan. To my surprise it came pre-seasoned. However, based on some comments about sticking, I pre-seasoned it again, it’s easy enough to do. The next day, before using, I preheated the pan. There was a little bit of smoking from the pre-seasoning but not much. I took the preheated pan out of the oven and brushed each corn indent with clarified butter which can take a higher temp before smoking than regular butter or some vege oils. Most cornbread cooks at 400 or higher temps. I added my batter, about 2 tablespoons to each indent and it started to sizzle right away. I baked about 13 minutes, but watched carefully because I wasn’t sure how long it might take. To my delight, each little cob popped right out with the help of a knife lifting them at the tip. Best to do this while they are still warm. They were crispy on the outside, light and tasty. I had to bake 4 batches to use all my batter as I only had the one pan. The pan was still clean after the first batch so I repeated the process. By the third batch I did have to let the pan cool down and simply rinsed with water, it needed no scrubbing to get rid of a few crumbs, not sure I really needed to do that before proceeding, it was just a few crumbs. It was a bit of a bother working in batches, but an easy solution to that is order another pan! Which I did. Just remember to brush the indents liberally with butter and there should be no sticking. I even like the size of the cornbreads. This pan is a keeper. I am very happy with my purchase.

Easy to keep pre-seasoned
I Love these Cornstick Pans, follow the instructions to preseason, You can preseason more than once, if i do decide to wash it, i dry it in the oven for 5 minutes 300 degand i have never had any cast iron rust, that's what the elders did, u also do NOT need to oil it when putting it away that oil will turn ransid, just wash & dry in the oven
