This will be perfect for homeschool handicrafts for my 6yr old! Great photos and easy to follow instructions.

The clay animals were so interesting, but yet not difficult, and can use simple items that you have at home to build the animals. Great book.

I bought this for someone who just turned 6 and I have a feeling he won't be able to fully utilize it for another year or two. I'd definitely give this a 7+ age category... though, hey, all it means for someone younger is that they probably won't successfully make it look very much like the picture. That's not such a problem.The book gives you plenty of illustrations, usually 5 or 6, for each project, so it's quite easy to follow along.Don't underestimate how much fun this sort of thing is for adults. My husband and I hung out one afternoon and made some clay animals from a similar book-- just talking, eating on the side, making the animals, hanging out-- it was a nice time and we have something to show for it, too.

I give this book along with both air drying clay and oven drying clay, Hey Clay kits, and a child's silicone rolling pin. Put together in a plastic box with some sandwich bags to store worked clay it has proven to be a welcome gift. The books is the addition that gets the kids modeling the clay and using basic forms from the books branching out into their own designs. Kids, alone or with friends, it is always a hit. Easy to store and take out, it has endless variations for play. Even adults join in.

Grand kids love these projects out of clay. This is a step by step guide on how to build them. The three of them have made hundreds of these characters. Time to order more clay!

I enjoy spending time making craft with my kids, nieces and nephews. This is sure a great way to keep them entertained and expand their imagination. The clay creations in the book are easy to follow and super cute. I recommend it!

Adorable clay instruction book. Purchased it “Used” & came from a Goodwill day n Ca. Perfect condition - not sure it was ever used. Very cute examples & clear instructions.

My daughter is always building things.I catch her taking things out of the recycling all the time. LolShe recently received clay as a present and loves it.We got her this book and it shows you how to make animals.You just need to have toothpicks on hand.She has made quite a few animals from it.It was a good choice.
