Fantastic rice cooker
Being Asian, rice has been staple in my daily meal. I have alway use Tiger or Zojirushi brand rice cookers that made in either China or Japan since arrive in America. I have heard great raves about the Cuckoo rice cooker from my Korean co-worker and recently decided to upgrade mine. I'm loving it and my whole family is amaze at how great the rice taste and how fast it can cook rice in approximately 20 - 25 mins for 3 cups of rice. It can be pricy for a rice cooker but it'll worth every penny that you've put in to it if you love rice as much as my family. The pot inside is very study and well made material and the setting are read in English with a very throughout instruction on how to make great rice with different type of rice. The voice setting is only in Korean. Over all, I'm happy with the purchase.

and am glad that I purchased this
I have used this rice cooker for 3 weeks, and am glad that I purchased this. I have eaten white rice for more than 40 years, and used various brands such as Zojiruchi, Tiger and even Aroma from Costco. It cooks rice to a perfect condition, shining and tasty. I generally cook white or half white/half brown. Cooking 2 cups of white rice in their turbo mode only takes 14 minutes. Taste of rice "just cooked" is better the one either microwaved or kept warm since yesterday. (I also considered Zojirushi's NP-NV10 which is also IH pressure cooker since it has "Keep warm for extended period", but chose Cuckoo. With fresh cooked rice for 2-3 servings in 15 minutes, I do not need old rice cooked & kept warm for several days.)I was also considering Cuckoo CRP-N0681F which has all the same features except IH. Since IH heats the entire pot instead of bottom portion only, rice cooks faster and more evenly. If you usually cook small servings of white rice, you may not notice this difference with pressure cooking. This version has voice navigation in English, Chinese and Korean whereas CRP-HV0667F in Korean only though more expensive. (strange...)I also considered Cuckoo CRP-FA0610F due to its price tag of $200 which is a pressure cooker. This model does not allow its cover detached for cleaning, which may make cleaning harder. Both CRP-HV0667F and CRP-N0681F provide easy self cleaning mode with some vinegar. Regular cleaning is important to have fresh taste rice cooked all the time.If you mix some brown rice for healthier choice, please remember to add some more water not to have hard rice. With pressure cooking, I did not need to wet the brown rice in advance, and still had a "perfectly" cooked rice

Amazing rice flavor, quality control issues (broken latch)
I've had this cooker for 2.5 yrs. I've had no issues. The rice flavor is amazing, cooks fast, no issues until.... recently, the latch to close the cooker was loose and a spring came off. So now my $300+ rice cooker won't close. I expected this cooker to last several more years. A bit disappointed.

Absolutely Love It! Plasticky Door Knob Kind of Broke After 3 years.
I love this rice cooker. The diamond rice container is so great, and tough, not a single scratch after 3 years. The IH pressurization works amazingly, rice is cooked to perfection. Porridge function works great also. It's really an amazing product. The only flaw (or weakness) I saw is that the knob or silvery button you press down to open the door of the rice cooker is made out of plastic, and one of the tiny plastic hinges that hold the knob is slightly broken. So yesterday when i pressed the knob down, it came off, and I had to re-install it. I am callign Cuckoo customer service and will update (hopefully) about the result. Warranty, I read, is only 1 year...

Makes Great Rice So Strap In You're About To Go Into Space
I had to wade through a lot, A LOT, of Cuckoo reviews to figure out that this is the one I wanted. It's very fast, easy to use and the Korean voice instructions are actually bizarrely soothing. The guide explains enough how to use it and look, if you're buying this rice cooker, you're clearly not an idiot and can figure it out.One thing to note. This cooker is pretty sizeable for a kitchen counter. I could not imagine a 10 cup cooker, it's practically a kitchen appliance at that point. So unless you *are* Asian and you're cooking for your massive family while also getting All A's and going to Med School (I'm Asian) then you really ought to opt for this size at the largest. It makes plenty o' rice for a nuclear (size not weapon) family.Pressure cooking is awesome - what used to take an hour takes about 30 min. max. Rice comes out good. Also, compared to my mid-range Zojirushi it is higher quality in all respects, but that's a bit apple to oranges. Just wanted to note in case you were like me "What on Earth is cuckoo, is this is a real company?" Apparently so!

Worked good for a year...
This isn't my first rice cooker. I've been through quite a few brands in a 15-year span of my life, some cheap and some not so cheap. This rice cooker worked good for a year. I was able to make regular rice and porridge without any issues. It made my Juk just fine. Then suddenly as I was cooking up a batch of Juk, this machine went crazy. Rice and water started to pour out of every crevice; just sort of exploded on my kitchen counter. Completely destroyed my machine and such a huge safety hazard. I had to throw it out! I followed the same recipe for Juk I'd been using for this machine every time, and it worked fine every time--just this last time it went crazy and exploded. I won't buy another appliance from this company because of this. I'm scared to think if I wasn't home at the time of cooking to unplug the machine and stop it from whatever breakdown it was having.
