Top Collection 11.25" Aphrodite Statue - Greek Roman Goddess Sculpture in White Marble Finish - Venus Greek Goddess of Love Statuette

I purchased this as a gift for my father and was very pleased with it. Upon opening the box there is a small card with a brief description of Aphrodite, which I thought was a nice touch. I had never perchased a statue made from bonded marble so wasn't quite sure what to expect as far as weight and feel. The statue has a good weight to it, not real heavy like real marble, which is expected, but just enough. The texture is smooth and the color is matte as pictured not slick. The detail is amazing and seen better in person I would only add that around the fingers and one of the hands there was a very light webbing that can happen from the "bonding process" I think it is called but nothing that ruins the look of the statue at all since it is so slight. The statute also has a nice felt bottom on it to protect the statue as well as any furniture you put it on. I am very happy with this purchase and will be purchasing the statue of David next!

This is a lovely accent to any table or shelf...elegant and eye-catching, to be sure. Its tasteful sensuality tends relax people and make them feel a bit more comfortable. That's to be expected, right? - her being the goddess of love and beauty! The statue, itself, is well rendered, and endowed with enough detail to convince you that it's worth every penny you spent for it. The delight of these kind of statues (and I own more than 20 of them) is that, even months later, you will discover something new that you didn't notice the first or hundredth time. As I also own the Aphrodite sitting on a Hippogriff, I'd recommend this one to that simply because this one is more "touchable" while the other is too busy and has so many details and projections that you're always afraid of snapping something off whenever you need to dust. If you're looking for a nice accent piece that speaks well of you, this one will fill the bill nicely.

This was an anniversary present for a couple who have been together for 27 years. When they opened it, the only thing that was said was: It's Beautiful!" In searching for a gift for their anniversary, I discovered that sculpture was listed as appropriate for the 27th -- so when I saw this I thought that it was perfect! Yes, it was -- they love it. The size is just right -- not too big or too little; one can really appreciate the details -- it is classic and yet it fits with my friends modern decor! The perfect present!

Beautiful

Wow, just wow!!! I can’t believe how beautiful this image of Aphrodite truly is! At first I was hesitant to buy this particular statue because I’d already ordered one very similar to this one. But I’m so glade that I did! I’m in LOVE with this Aphrodite! It’s quickly became one of my favorites in my collection! She’s absolutely beautiful and so worth it to buy and add to your collection!!!

Arrived quick and packaged well. A beautiful statue, nice weight and feel.

She is as tall as my other statues but looks nothing like them as they are mostly all bronzed. This works perfectly since she claimed the bathroom as all hers. She is absolutely gorgeously sculpted in alabaster white and happily has two surfaces (the pedestal and the bowl) on the statue to use as a tiny offering plate or for cone incense. Couldn’t be happier with my choice for this statue.

This looks so much more beautiful in person; the product photos really don't do this statue justice. I was concerned about it breaking in transit but it's packed well and everything got here in one piece. I'm so happy to have it and I love the detail! My altar finally feels complete :)
