My Big Dinosaur Book (My Big Board Books) Board book – Illustrated, May 10, 2011

What a great book for little kids! My grandson is so into dinosaurs and this book is perfect for him. He "reads" it every day even though he is not quite 3 years old. He loves the pictures and so do I as they are very bright and vibrant with about half of the photos have body shots. There is a small description of each dinosaur but there isn't any pronunciation guide which I think would be very helpful. Love the questions on each page so your little one can find what the answer is.This is a perfect book for toddlers and they will get many hours of enjoyment out of it.

It's a big book. With so many different dinosaur names. My son's going to love it for his fourth birthday

Beautiful graphics and fun for a gift

The illustrations are great and colorful. Nephew loves it.

He really likes this book, probably because of its very large size and the really cool dinosaur illustrations/pictures. They look like pictures of realistic models; I'm not sure what they are, but they're very cool. The downside is that the common "garden-variety" dinosaurs (tyrannosaurus rex, allasaurus, brontosaurus, stegasaurus, etc) are not in this book. Instead, we meet many new & unusual dinosaurs with hard-to-pronounce names. I'm all for learning new names & new dinosaurs, and I think it's good for him to see the out-of-the-box world of dinosaurs, but it's a teency bit of a let down for him (he's 2) when he doesn't see the ones whose name he can say & with whom he is very familiar. We still like to read this together, after we've read the books with the more commonly known dinosaurs. Like I said, he loves the size & the fun pictures & the scary faces the dinos are making.

It is a cute board book with realistic depictions of dinosaurs along with their names. It has helped my son learn a lot of new dinosaurs.

Love this book for my 2.5 year old granddaughter. She loves the dinos and can already identify several by picture. The book is simple enough for a toddler with great illustrations suitable for young children. Interesting little side details and the book itself is super sturdy. I like the size of the book as well.

Kids are almost universally fascinated by dinosaurs...and my kids are the same in this regard. They love this book. It has lots of pictures, they are colorful and are printed on heavy stock paper that is likely to last a long time even for kids. Ever since my kids watched a recent dinosaur movie, they became obsessed with learning the names of many dinosaurs and this book does that job perfectly with big bold writing and nice pictures throughout. The size is about eleven inches by eleven inches, so it is a nice big size as the name implies. Highly recommended.(I attached a picture to show size comparison to a normal water tumbler)
