Probably Best to order a half size up; not the highest quality
I ordered a half size ip from my regular shoe and boot size and the fit is really good. The boot is really light weight almost like a running shoe. I can wear them all day and they are comfortable for an entire shift. They are good in all the terrains I have experienced so far but are a little slick on ice or wet concrete at first. The down side to the boots so far is that they can be hard to put on due to the tongue and body of the boot being one piece and it is not stretchy at all so you really have to basically unlace them most of the way to take them off and it’s still a bit stiff. The next draw back is that if you wear them a little loose they are not well padded near the top and dug into my ankles the first few days due to being lower cut than traditional duty boots. When I wear a higher thicker sock and tighten them down I don’t really notice it though. The last downside is that they really are not too high quality like a danner boot but it really is a different design. I don’t expect them to last forever like that and I would say they might last a couple years of constant use at work. I have been wearing them for a couple weeks of constant use and there is already a large gash out of the leather on the toe of the left boot.None of that would keep me from buying them or wearing them, just things to keep in mind before you buy them. They are really just a beefed up athletic shoe with a mid above the ankle height to them. So basically in summary they compromise durability and longevity for fast moving agility, light weight, and all day comfort. It’s a trade off for you to decide. If you are really hard on your boots for your intended purpose and don’t do any running in them I would go with something heavier like a traditional danner or something.

LAW ENFORCEMENT REVIEW
Received my adidas tac boots and have been wearing them for a week. Very thin and super light weight boot, which I really like. Fits like a true running shoe. To elaborate it's not like a tennis shoe or cross trainer. Very snug and narrow fit, but comfortable. If you roll your ankle easily then these aren't the boots for you. That being said I'm a 10 1/2 in other boots and that's what I have in my adidas tac boots. The fit is perfect. If you are the type to wear thick socks I would go a half size larger. Aggressive tread which I really like as I work a predominantly rural area and spend a lot of time on natural surfaces (grass, gravel, dirt). Equally good on paved surfaces and indoors. Really like the traction/grip. They haven't been tested in a foot pursuit yet but I'm confident they will be perfect. Think these will be great as a summer boot in Canada. Wouldn't dream of wearing these in the winter. There is just no insulation. If you carry a boot knife you won't be able to do that with these. One thing I don't like about them is there are no eyelets, just holes for the laces. I find it very difficult to loosen my laces and therefore find it difficult to put them on and take them off. Would like to have seen a quick lace setup on the upper two positions. It looks like they are designed to be worn in the running shoe style with the top open which would defeat the purpose of a tac boot. I like that they can take polish as that's a stipulation with my department. I can't see them lasting more than a year or two but for the price I would say there is no question. Definitely worth it. I would highly recommend these boots. If anyone has any questions drop me a line. [email protected].

Nice boot but not for me .
The boots arrived in a timely manner but the comfort was almost none existent, switches insoles and they were a little comfy but not much . One of the loops for the strings also broke a few weeks after wearing them . It’s a nice looking boot not what I expected.

Awesome Patrol boot
Well.... I was all ready to cry foul at the other reviewers for saying get the boots a half size larger. Boots came in and I was thinking of creative and eloquent ways to verbally beat them down as I opened the box. Tried on the first boot and damned if they weren't right. I wear a 9 and ordered a 9.5 . I could've taken a 9 but it would've placed my big toe right up against the front. So yeah...good call. Quality wise the boots have excellent fit and finish. I have Oakley and Under Armour boots but these are very light weight. Some mentioned ankle protection and yeah...just be more catlike or figure out what you're going to be doing on light duty. Someone also mentioned lacing. They can be secured up nice and snug but you're gonna need a minute. ( Maybe after break in this will change.) I wore these right after they arrived and they were an awesome duty boot that I would without a doubt at this point buy again. If you're on the fence....do it. If my ultra flat feet like these boots then people whose feet aren't mad at them will definitely be able to put in work and complain about other things like, why you can't wash a vest or who's idea was it to make uniforms out of polyester.

Very Comfortable
Having worn toe protection public order boots for years, I wanted a more comfortable boot which didn't hinder me on a foot chase. They are a very soft leather, lightweight & comfortable... great when running and driving, feels like I'm wearing trainers.Other reviews advised going up half a size, which I did & they fit perfect.Time will tell with how long they last, but I'm happy so far.👍

Not the best!
Tricky lacing system, hard to get on or off without completely loosing the laces, not the best insole, very thin. Soles also mark floors. Ankle support not very good.Update, put some Magnam insoles in which has made the boots a lot more comfortable

Buy one size bigger for best fit.
Was advised on websit to buy at least 1 size bigger so I did, fits as expected. Little bit of breathing space for toes. Only tightness is when trying to stick foot into shoe, however after using it gradually loosens. Overall good.
