Kite flyers - I endorse this product for sail repair!
I bought this repair tape to fix a dual line stunt kite. I have been flying professionally for 5 years. I used this clear tape repair product as a cheaper alternative to the prism repair tape and other kite repair patches after I noticed a 3" year on the spine of my prism E3 and a 2.5" year along the main sail of my skyburner Ocius.Ease of use: 5/5 - clean the material, cut the patch out, and apply the patch.Durability: 5/5 - I applied these patches a few months ago and have been flying my kites in 5-25 mph winds. The patches are in very heavily abuses sections of the kites. This patch has been unnoticeable in terms of kite performance and cosmetics. Additionally, there are ZERO signs of wear around the patch. The instructions note to allow a short period of time for the patch to affix to he material securely (like glue drying) and that after his one hour period, the patch will actually strengthen its bond to the material with time. This means increased strength of repair over time and with use.Cosmetics: 5/5 - what repair? From a distance of one foot you can't even tell I repaired the kite sails. From closer, while a highly detailed oriented person might see the patches, the patch is clear and designed to be unnoticeable in day to day use.Waterproof: ?5/5 - I do not submerge my kites in water, however, I do out them up in 25mph winds. There is zero air leak or I would noticed the performance drop of the kites. Thus, I extrapolate that this seal is waterproof and would work for those patching rain jackets. Given the abuse the kites take and the force of wind they see, and the fact that this has fixed my previously poorly performing kites because before they were shedding wind heavily, thus product is a kitesaver! And if used on a jacket, I expect it to save your torn jacket.Overall - this patch performed above and beyond my expectations. At this low price, I've bought multiple kits to be prepared for my next kite sail tear and to be able to quickly patch it up and get back in the sky.

It doesn't stick as well as I was hoping for
I bought it to you to repair tent and clothes when I'm backpacking and it works but it's not as sticky as other reviews made me think. Especially if you using small pieces to cover tiny holes in your clothes it feels quite easily. I use bigger pieces, maybe about an inch by inch to fix my tent fly and there it holds reasonably well. But I still feel that regular duct tape holds much better and it's significantly cheaper.I used a small piece to fix my inflatable sleeping pad and it's been a year and it's still holds. So at least for this, it worked pretty well

but it stuck much better than duct tape
I was on trail about 30 days this summer, I used this to repair EVERYTHING.My quilt had a rip and the down was coming out, tenacious tape to the rescueI almost tore the cinch cord clean off my tent stuff sack one morning, tenacious tape to the rescueMy hiking partner accidentally ripped the mesh ceiling on her tent, tenacious tape to the rescueI found a small tear in my inflatable lantern, causing it to unintentionally inflate during the day, tenacious tape to the rescueMy trail runner got a large tear near the toe after I got too close to a sharp rock, tenacious tape to the...well, it couldn't fix this one, but it stuck much better than duct tape! And even after all of that, I still have 1/4 of the roll left. Now, understand you aren't getting a ton of tape. It's a small roll compared to a roll of duct tape or something. But it's definitely enough for those small tears, splits, punctures, etc. It's super strong (the tent stuff sack that I almost ripped apart? it's holding up fantastically after 20 days of additional abuse) and water resistant (a small repair to a hole in my rain kilt has been through the washer four times now)I already ordered a second roll to keep as backup. If I have any gear failures I want to make sure I have this available
