Marson39302 Poly Nut Thread Setter Kit

First of all, this is an awesome tool to have in your Arsenal when you're adding or modifying anything which might require a fastener. This set has five different sizes, all the way up to 1/4-20. It's excellent for restricted access areas, the smaller threaded inserts work flawlessly. The larger quarter-inch Fastener works just as well, however requires more compression to seat firmly and not spin. What I did was installed the Fastener with the tool, then screwed in a quarter inch Bolt with a nut on it, and then held the bolt so it wouldn't turn while tightening the nut. It drew the Fastener up tight against the metal surface and prevented it from spinning. Good quality, nice case, Quality Tool. One word of advice, I would purchase the ribbed steel threaded inserts elsewhere in place of the ones that come in this kit. The ones in the kit are not splined and can potentially spin as there is nothing to grip the surface that they are swaged into.

I have used three different tools to accomplish this function. The first one broke after a day, the second broke after a year. I recently used this over a weekend inserting so many nuts (this inserts a pop rivet that allows you to insert a nut and bolt on whatever you want). So many nuts in fact, that my arms were sore the next day. Here is what I learned:1) This is by far the easiest to use2) This tool works very well3) using this tool it is easy to tell when the "rivet" has been fully engaged.I highly recommend this tool.

I purchased this kit, even tho I owned the metric version of the Marson kit, because just the bits and collets would exceed the cost of this kit.This kit comes with a high quality case and tools. It also comes with instructions and a chart (which tells you what drill bit sizes to use).Highly recommended. You will save a lot of time using nut serts where you needed to weld a nut before, or using a blind rivet (and needing to drill them out to remove later). Wish I bought this years ago.

This is not a tool that I use a lot, but it's a handy when you need it. Quality tool. Made in Taiwan.

I didn't like that I didn't get metric set that I ordered and the one I got has a different part number on it. I sent it back only to have it returned to me and now I'm stuck with a useless tool.

great tool. bought gate at home depot, the length was off so cut gate and used this tool to re assemble, wife was thrilled. I know its pricey, but this is one off those tools if you buy, you will find things and ways to use it

Very nice product. I have used rivet nut guns before and this one is better quality than every one I have used in the past. If you are going to do a lot of 1/4-20 inserts, I would recommend start squeezing a tennis ball a few days before hand. Takes a good bit of leverage to squeeze the larger threads.

Product arrived in perfect condition. Just the thing for putting strong screw threads in thin material. First use: mounting a pet barrier to a window screen. Barrier is expanded metal (diamond) mesh in a steel frame. Four fasteners easily mounted into holes drilled in hollow aluminum window screen frame. All the work done from one side--nothing shows on the other side.
