Another one for the reference library
This book is going to be kept handy for quick reference along with How to Survive the End of the World as We Know It by James Wesley Rawles and Prepping for a Suburban or Rural Community by Michael Mabee.Update: I would also like to add one more book to the required book list for beginning preppers, The Prepper's Workbook by Scott B. Williams and Scott Finazzo, which is more of a companion to Rawles' book above in that it will help you organize, track and build your preparations in a very fluid manner.Oh, and thanks Charlie for throwing that autograph on the book for me. Now I have a good reason to not loan it out any more.

Not a manual
I like the book but find it was written way too broad for many looking to assemble a MAG or even join one completed. It doen't offer templates on how or why to write SOP/G's / rules but gives what you should include and how they should be written. There may be a little too much "consult an attorney" for my taste but I can see why it was added. All-in-all, buy the book for imformative information packed into one place that would take you weeks to find on the internet.

Real world peace-of-mind preparation book of knowlege
I am currently an Eye Doctor and I am prior US Army Combat Infantry. This book reads very fast and keeps your attention. Lots of information without being overly technical; any technical information is well explained. Well organized format. Good background information. This book can be used in any situation from day-to-day running a business to the most extreme end-of-world scenario. I would recommend this book to the novice looking to having a good starting point to the professional that wants to really expand their working knowledge. This is not a doom and gloom book, this is real world peace-of-mind book of hope and understanding. Thank you to the author.

Literally the book on it
Very in depth, but I felt some of the organization could have been better. Very informative. Almost too much so (read and you'll see what I mean). I think the author could teach a 2 week class and still have info to spare and he tried to cram a lot between the covers here. Pretty well written and I definitely don't regret buying. Should be in your library if starting a MAG is something you're interested in.

Great book on human nature
One of the best, if not the best, book I have bought for my survival library. Yes, it's important to have books on the "how-to's" of building a cabin, raising livestock and living off the land. However, this book is about human nature. How different personalities can work together - all the time, not just in emergencies. How to help others shine and become valuable members of a team. What is a leader? This is truly a wonderful, insightful and valuable book.

MAGS: The People Part of Prepping
Prepping was never anything I ever thought about until I read this book. Knowing what's important and most needed is half the battle when it comes to survival. Thank you Mr. Hogwood for giving us the tools needed to protect ourselves and our families. This is a must read for anyone who wants to be a step or two ahead when the time comes to survive on only what we have.Great job!Sincerely,Sandra Semande

Good info, but reads like a technical manual
There really isn't a plot to follow, but rather specific instruction and guide to sort through the process of developing a cohesive group. Takes much for granted; that everybody in the potential group has also read the book and knows the game plan. It's OK and does have a lot of good info, but it reads like a technical manual.
