High on my 2019 Favorite List!!!! 10 PHENOMENAL STARS!!!!
Q: “You think you’ve got it all figured out, don’t you?” Amusement etched my tone. I gentled it, continuing, “The money. The school. The social life. The boys. You think you know exactly who you are and what you want.”“Correct. And that’s not you.”“Do your lies taste as pretty as they sound?”Jesus! I knew that I was going to Love Ella Fields latest Forever and Never, I mean, Ella's a master storyteller. However, there was NOTHING in me that was prepared for Lars and Daphne's love story. THIS STORY NEEDS 10 PHENOMENAL STARS!!!!Q: Never again would she be my toxic little problem…For that was what she was. A toxin I needed to rid my body of. My heart and my mind and my ever-hungry d1ck. I’d fed too long on my addiction to her, and now it was time to go cold turkey. It was the only way I was going to survive this.I discovered Ella Fields years ago now and I haven’t missed a book since. I stalk her social media accounts incessantly seeking updates on her upcoming release and I would probably die if I ever had the opportunity to meet her in person—calling me a stalker is putting it mildly because I truly do fangirl like crazy for Ella. [Side Note: As many of my friends know, I have a bit of an obsession with signed paperbacks and if the opportunity to own one of Ella’s ever arose, I consider selling my soul.] Regardless of how much I love personally this author’s writing, something that always strikes me as the truest test of an author’s storytelling talents—and specifically Ella’s in this instance—is that I have never once recommended her, through my blog or to my friends, and found someone disappointed with her work. Not once! That should speak highly of her skills. Moreover, I love so much about her storytelling I am not even sure where to start reviews for her, ever. I’m always apprehensive that I am underselling the stories she writes and yet, that’s why I’m the blogger and she’s the author. So if the multitude of five-star reviews for this or any other book in Ella’s catalog doesn’t sell her to you, then I am not sure what I can possibly say that will make you one-click any faster… yet I hope you’ll bear with me while I wind my way around reviewing Forever and Never.Q: It was alarming how quick obsession could turn into resentment. The way love could so easily shift into hate.As I’ve mentioned, Ella Fields is an incredibly talented storyteller. Five-star reviews will show you again and again that readers fall helplessly for her heroes and want to be her heroines. The speed with which I find myself sucked into her stories never ceases to amaze me and I have yet to read one that I was able to walk away from the story before it was finished. Therefore, when I saw Forever and Never hit my kindle, I dropped everything, grabbed an Iced Americano at my local coffee shop—at 7 pm no less 😉 since I would undoubtedly be pulling an all-nighter—and ordered a pizza for my kid’s dinner.Q: Fate didn’t care about who held your heart or the person you gave it to. If it wasn’t meant to be, fate would come knocking, and that ... expected you to answer. She now owed me, and I wouldn’t wait much longer before I did some knocking of my own.Forever and Never is a fast-paced, dual POV enemies-to-lovers, YA romance with an alphahole hero and a sharp-tongued heroine. Lars is the scholarship student with hidden talents attending a school with the area’s wealthiest families. Daphne’s the privileged princess of a surgeon and a model, gorgeous and unmistakably closed off to all but her closest friends. With hallmarks such as a unique and brilliant plot, sharp writing, and characters unlike any others, Ella quickly draws readers into a story that’s equally angsty, emotional and realistic. Furthermore, I found Forever and Never to be a truly unpredictable romance. As Daphne and Lars face untold hardships and grow as individuals and together, I fell completely under their spells. Ella writes characters that are not always lovable/likable, that make bad choices, or do bad things making them very human and complex but also allowing for eventual character progression second to none. Daphne and Lars are exemplary examples of this and if you aren’t moved to tears within this story, I would be massively surprised.Q: I wanted her. I wanted her so bad it singed my lungs to even breathe around her. But want wasn’t enough for something as broken as us.Be prepared: Forever and Never is absolutely an emotional roller-coaster. Ranging from sweet, extremely sexy, angsty, and heartbreakingly devastating, I felt the characters' emotions as if they were my own. The experience was vivid, and the story lived in my head for days after I finished it. I went back and reread scenes, and if life had permitted, I would have picked up the story to reread it in its entirety the instant I finished my first read-through. And while I have maintained a clear favorite in my head from previous works by Ella, that book has now solidly moved aside for Forever and Never. This isn’t a book you should pass up. Buy it immediately and discover for yourself why so many readers fall all over themselves to get their hands on an Ella Fields book. You’ll never be the same!!!!Quotes:She thought I was beneath her. That I wasn’t worth her time or affection. That I was a scheming player who would mar her with useless filth. Yet my gut and those eyes of hers told me this girl liked filthy.Out of all the reasons I steered clear of Lars Bradby, it was the storm that slept in his eyes that kept my heart from running away, exploring, and eventually, sinking.I was a spectator. I was watching two lives merge while scarcely living my own. I was the girl peering in the window at the toy store, longing for things I couldn’t actually have. She was a witch, the way she could still have me worrying about her even while I loathed her.Eight transformative, soul-staining months that would now forever be lost among the rubble we’d piled atop it.

It's Almost Perfect
Ella Fields just did it again. Just when I thought I would get through without having to cry or break my heart, I was yet faced by another disappointment.I've been seeing posts of how they were ruined by Forever and Never so I had to brace myself before diving in. I was starting to think that they either have been exaggerating or this book isn't really for me. But I was wrong. Why I thought my heart wouldn't break or that those tears wouldn't fall as I wade through Ella Fields's words is beyond me. Slowly, a hand was crushing into my heart, squeezing it oh so gently until it couldn't beat anymore, crushing it until it's dust. I liked that none of it was easy. Because it keeps you on the edge. Not knowing what'll happen next and if you're getting the ending that you badly need. It wasn't predictable. It wasn't smooth sailing. It was all the rough roads and the storms combined. If they got through it or not, you'd have to stick around to find out. Unlike other stories where you'd know what the ending would be and just a matter or how.I like how Ella keeps her heroines level-headed. Yes, they make stupid decisions. But good looks and sex appeal doesn't really get them. Of course they can be attracted, but not the type of girl that forgets all rational thought just because they smell the hero. I also loved how they are equal in a sense. Not all damsel in distress where the guy have to do all the grovelling. They meet halfway. They compromise. The girl knows when she messed up and she knows when to suck it up or do something about it. The heroes are also something to learn from. No matter how obsessed and in love they may be, they show how human they are and that they hurt. They just don't forgive them at the first sight of tears. This would be a 4.5 stars for me. Almost perfect. Had the heartbreak been at the first 50% of the book, I would've given this a 5. But I would definitely recommend this book. Worth losing a few hours of sleep.

Queen of words
WOW, just WOW!!!!We already met Daphne Morris and Lars Bradby in KISS AND BREAK UP and got a little glimpse inside their story and now we get the whole heartbreak and emotional chaos. From the first moment he met Daphne, Lars has had a crush on her. But Daphne shows no interest. Lars is not one to give up quickly and somehow manages to convince Daphne of himself. At first everything seems to go well, but then fate strikes and it's not sure if their love is worth the pain.“Anything you love is worth a little pain.” Lars BradbyAnd that's an understatement!!! This story hurt my heart, so bad, and is so beautiful at the same time. Ella did it again. Her stories are well thought through, so credibel, twisted and absolutely amazing. A wonderful story about first love, trust, heartbreak, responsibility, friendship and decisions, decisions, decisions. With every book I think: Oh, that's my favorite one! And then she writes the next one and I'm blown away again. She's the undisputed queen of NA and words in general. Chapeau!

Another brilliant book from this author !!!
Yet another amazing book from Ella Fields, she is fast becoming one of my go to authors as she never lets me down in the emotional angst stakes when you read one of her books, she is just brilliant. This story was full and I mean full of all sorts of different emotions that pulled at my heart strings endlessly. This is Daphne and Lars story and it will melt your heart but not before it has you threatening to throw your kindle at the wall in sheer frustration. The first part of this book was all about the two main characters, their upbringing and their families, how they were both dealing with growing up and also about what they felt for each other and how that was delivered to us the reader. It was all consuming to be honest and sometimes very intense which I loved. Both characters were a pleasure to get to know but Lars is the one that stuck out in this book for me. He was if you like the underdog compared to Daphne in a way. Lars is not well off and lives with his Mum who works late shifts all night to keep their head above water. He's a typical young lad; has friends, smokes, drinks and has adored Daphne from afar for as long as he can remember.Daphne is a different kettle of fish. She wants for nothing and comes from a good upstanding family, she at first comes across as a stuck up, spoilt young lady but as the story progressed I did see Daphne in a different light all together. It was like watching a chrysalis turn into a butterfly and I found it extremely rewarding. The chemistry, the push and pull between these two young people was written so well that I had no trouble what so ever in connecting and loving these two people. As the book went on I got so engrossed in both of them I found it really hard to put the book down at all. I loved the way the story developed and at one point I wasn't sure which way the outcome was going, honestly I was biting my nails down to the quick !!An epic piece of work from Ella James that was beautifully written with addictive characters. This is young adult genre that Ella is so good at writing. I really recommend this book to add to your TBR pile as soon as possible. Wonderful !!!!
