But I love it and have reordered several times over the years. **Q: What's in this stuff? Gave me a horribly rash and the smell made me ill?** A: I don't know for sure, but based on the smell and its ineffectiveness I presume it has ammonia in it. **Q: is this cleaner the type that you put the silver in and it removes the tarnish almost instantly?** A: It really depends on the depth of the tarnish on your silver. If it's moderate, the tarnish comes off pretty quickly. Obviously, the heavier the tarnish the longer it takes for the cleaner to do its work.
