Cooler Master Trooper - Full Tower Gaming Computer Case with USB 3.0 Ports and Carrying Handle (SGC-5000-KWN1)

This case is a 4.5 star case. Heavy duty. well made, & spacious case will please 9 out of 10 buyers every time.In my case, the only issue is a cable for the fan controller was severed upon inspection and I needed to replace it. I did not want to return the case just to get a new wire, and I read from various places CM will send you the replacement part. I called customer service numerous times, would put me on hold for 2 minutes, and then force me to leave a voice mail and await a call back. I never received any phone call back in 7 days. Called them 10 times, left 2 voice mails.Tried to submit a ticket through CM Support website. You need to register before hand. After quick registration, last step is to await confirmation email. Never got the confirmation email. Tried multiple email addresses, no luck.I was extremely bummed out at how difficult it was to get help, and based on this experience it concerned me how difficult it would be to get help for any more serious need. Really wanted it because of the fan controller as well, but decided to return and go with NXZT Phantom 820.More than likely an isolated issue not to scare anyone off, but this experienced made me lose faith in CM to back up their product with weak customer service.

Great case design. This is my 1st computer case not from an OEM manufacturer like Compaq. I have always modified my Compaq case since I bought it with Windows ME on it back in 2001. But you can only do so much. I did upgrade to an ASUS motherboard, Intel i7 processor, Corsair 750 watt power supply and many other improvements. But the Compaq case is too small for things like large fans, multiple fans, several hard drives,etc. So I read the reviews on Amazon and other websites and bought the Cooler Master CM Storm Trooper case. I knew the case would be large but did not fully realize how large until I got it. My Compaq case can almost fit inside it. But that's fine with me. I already transferred all the Compaq's parts over to the new case and it is already up and running.The only thing lacking was good directions on putting everything together. Most stuff I already knew how to do, but some case specific things like rearranging the hard drive clusters in the case and hooking up the fan controls could have been explained better. The set-up manual that came with the case gets no stars.If you buy this case I recommend downloading the PDF owners / setup manual from Coolermaster.com and using a spare computer or tablet to view the set-up directions. Also, as far as the fan control set-up goes, Cooler Master has much better directions on it's website on how to hook it up in the Q&A section and it's in color. I don't want to complain too much. The positives far outweigh the negatives as far as this case goes.I will be modifying this case for years to come. This is a great buy. It also arrived to my doorstep within a couple of days after ordering it.

The Cooler Master Storm Trooper is so perfect, I will never own another computer case. The Cooler Master Stryker (Snow Trooper) is virtually the same thing in white. The only thing I don't about this case like is you cannot mount a radiator in the front due to the cages. Many people have gotten around this with brackets. Also, the SE version is the same case but newer and the entire side panel is Plexiglas and you can front mount a radiator. I actually like the look of the old one I have better. On my model you can mount a 280/240 radiator up top, a 140 radiator in the back, and a 240 radiator on the bottom. I run a 280 CPU cooler up top and 2x 140 GPU coolers on the bottom. I found a third cage (it comes with two) and added three 120 fans to the front. I would eventually like to mod it and add a 360 to the front. I absolutely love the versatility of this case and I think it's outright the best looking case ever made. I will never buy another case.

I used this to build my new system. Although ostensible for gamers, it is also great for us that need a lot of storage. I built my latest with 6 500GB SSDs, 2 4tB 10k Hdds, 3 Blue Ray and One DVD burner and still have room for more. Cable management options abound. So too are the disk mounting and fan options I have my CPU water cooled out the rear (120mm) but could have mounted 240mm water cooler at the top. Keeps everything cool and the transparent side lets me pat myself on my cable management prowess (although most of that goes to Cooler Master for providing the mount points, plenty of room and movable disk mounting options. It has a separate switch for lighting as well that I use for some led strips under my desk to see where to put in a CD and turn it off when not in use. Also of note is a "toolbox/parts container" that slides under the bottom so you don't have to hunt for parts installing any new hardware. Is big but solid and relatively light for its size. The handles make it easy to move around (if you need to) Probably the best case I have come across for my needs.

El stormtrooper es un gabinete bastante grande, con varias porciones de configuración para acomodar los ventiladores frontales (intake), el x-dock frontal es una gran opción para conectar hdd/ssd de 2.5 " sin abrir el gabinete o usar un case para el hdd/ssd, bastante espacioso por dentro, me permitió instalar el sistema de enfriamiento AIO, la mobo tipo ATX, tareja de sonido, tarjeta de video (gtx 1060), tres unidades DVD, un lector de tarjetas, un ssd, dos hdd de 3.5" y otro de 2.5", permite una buena gestión del cableado para mantener los más limpio posible la instalación; instalé dos ventiladores de 120mm como intake en la base, otro de 120mm como intake lateral y uno más en la parte trasera de 140mm como exhaust. Tiene sus filtros anti polvo en la base y la parte superior del gabinete, los cuales se pueden desmontar para ser limpiados sin necesidad de desarmar el gabinete, también tiene un asa para poder cargar este "monstruo" (el puro gabinete pesa como 13 kilos). La ventana lateral le da una gran vista si es que se cuenta con componentes con iluminación, lo que le da una mejor vista. El punto en contra para mi sería que no cuenta con una ventilación tan buena como el HAF 922, el cual presume del sistema Extreme Airflow. Si lo que buscan es un gabinete de torre completa, con un diseño "rudo", con bastante espacio interior, un buen manejo de cableado, varias opciones de configuración y cuentan con el espacio, este es sin duda su gabinete.

case molto spazioso, comodissimo per l'installazione del raffreddamento a liquido nella parte superiore, molto robusto e pesante, ventole interne silenziose, disposizione dei supporti per i drive modulare con varie combinazioni facilmente accessibili, dotazione completissima (presente anche prolunga per il cavo di alimentazione della scheda video.
