Product excellent,customer support even better
As an old trucker owner operator I have polished a lot of aluminum and stainless steel in my day. Aluminum is easy but stainless steel is not so easy and takes a lot of work to achieve that perfectly smooth mirror finish truckers, Harley riders, or anyone looking to get back that finish their air cleaners, visors, case covers , exc. used to have. This polishing kit looked like a great answer to a big and often difficult job. I received my kit and it installed quickly and easily. I tried it on four different polishers and grinders. The guard attaches firmly on all that have a collar. One had no collar and two were short so guard isn't directly centered over buffing wheel but that is due to the buffer, grinder not the kit and just is not a problem at all. Unfortunately the kits spindle shaft was out of true by 3/32" which may not seem like much but when you spin up something the size and weight "mass" of the polishing drum the buffer bounced and jumped around so badly the smooth perfect finish I and all of you demand of our work would be impossible. I wrote Polishing Abrasive Tools Mart Inc. about the problem. Unlike some other companies I only had to write once.π Within twenty four hours they had sent back a message that a full replacement kit was being shipped out immediately!!! π It took a little over a week and it arrived today. I mounted up the new spindle shaft and threw my dial indicator on it to find the out if the out of true problem was as I had suspected; a fluke which happens occasionally to all machined parts. It doesn't take much to knock the calibration off and occasionally one could get by any of us. The new shaft is perfect.π The question is always "Would you buy from this company again?" Answer, ANY DAY, ANY TIME, ANYTHING THAT THEY MAKE. This is a excellent company and a tool that's definitely going to make my job easier to say nothing of the quality look of my work. If you want rich full shine on your work I totally recommend. Try it and you'll agree. I found a t-shirt that says it all. "If It Don't Shine, It Ain't Mine "

Absolute garbage..and dangerous
First: A variable speed grinder is a must - there is no gearing so the shaft with the grit wheel rotates at the speed of the grinder. Grit wheels are rated at 4000RPM max.Second: there is absolutely no way to get the guard/handle tight enough to keep from moving or sliding around on the collar of the angle grinder. The clamp to hold the assembly has no indents or protrusions as the original guard has to help hold things in line. The guard assembly is over 1/2" too narrow so that over 1/2" of the grit wheel protrudes outside the guard. This allows the grit wheel to throw sanding debris directly at you as it rotates. After approx 30 seconds of sanding at the slowest speed on my grinder, a piece of the grit wheel blew off & hit me in the chest.Do NOT buy this unless you like playing dangerously!
