Living With Your Dog: Basic Training, Parts 1 & 2

I was tickled to find this on dvd. I had rented it from the library years ago when we got a pup and it was VHS then. I found it to be the most informative and gentle training advise. I am a visual learner, so having a dvd was perfect. I Decided to buy my own this time. Only complaint is the gentleman speaks very soft and monotone. I fell asleep a couple times and had to rewatch. I do like his methods and they have worked wonders. Would like to see him do the long sit with an older dog (1 yr.) who is a little hard headed.

I rented this from the library and decided I needed to buy this , I am a dog trainer and love the Volhards training.

This video shows if you put in the work with your puppy...You will have a dog that is well mannered and that can go on to other parts of dog training..........even competition.

This DVD's gives an interesting course in several lessons about dog training and education. Of course, the Volhard couple try to promote their non-violent form to develop dog's possibilities. ABSOLUTELY NECCESARY for everyone who has a dog problem at home. Granted.

Excellent Video, you will not be disappointed. The Volhard's are definitely animal lovers and it shows thru in this video. I especially like how they correct the human owners, many time dog trainers are not good at correcting the dog owner.

I wanted to purchase this and have the kids watch it with us so they could learn too. I do think it helped.

Very basic and not help ful. I have just as much experience and know these training skills.

Good content but very slow...impossible to watch the whole DVD in one go. It took me a whole week to get through. The book by the same author(s) seems to be better value and has more content.
