Works great
I honestly don’t know what I was doing but as a beginner connected some electrical wire to my beats easy. And was straight forward. Temperature on switch etc.

Great soldering iron
Not sure why people are using this for wood burning because it's quite clearly a soldering iron. It even comes with solder. In that role, it works great. Heats up fast, temperature can be switched between F and C by pressing both blue buttons simultaneously, and it seems to be accurate. Plus it comes with all sorts of stuff including a little stand and sponge plus some tips in a little bag and the aforementioned solder.Works great. Great price. Press the red button for a few seconds to turn it on. Do the same to turn it off. Use the blue buttons to adjust temp. Simple. Says what it does and does what it says.

This may be cheap, but hands down a great buy. I compared it to another techs expensive one.

A dangerous thing
Doesn't get hot enough to solder. Barely capable of burning wood. But it does get to 325 Fahrenheit. So it will burn skin.

Great kit for beginners.
Bought it for Father's Day to spend some time with my two teenage boys. The last time I used something like this was more than 30 years ago and this one is way more advanced. First, the temperature control - very handy and very easy to adjust. Second - so many different tips to choose from, I wanted to try all of them! The couple negative things I can think of: 1. There is no easy way to organize the tips after opening. 2. It's not very comfortable to hold it, not sure it's possible but would like to hold it like a pencil, closer to the tip. Overall it's a great kit for beginners.
